I was in Crown last night . Drains went in pitch yesterday and am told IF no rain today then game will be on.

:eek: thought that had been done during the summer months when the pitch was laid and also included a sprinkler system.:confused:

Rain forecasted for this area late tonight and today to be dry,work still on going on the pitch but it is drying out so with no rain until tonight ,its looking good:)

Unless there going to re-turf that area its gona be the same as before,as long as its rolled and is firm and not boggy and stays dry it'l be ok.

well as funds are low at the moment, can i suggest "Donkey Rides" fer the kids at Half Time, should bring a few bob in.:D

I thought we had set up an Olympic partnership for a 50mt running track:D

I would imagine now it's had a game on it and sand has got turned a bit plus a bit of rain overnight it might start to germinate, in fairness the rest of the pitch looked good:)

Before the match, the commentator on Radio Stoke last night talked about the sand and said, 'Bring on the donkeys!' I know he was on about the sand but, secretly, I hoped he was talking about our opposition! :)

And, at half-time, his colleague said that Accrington are 'not a good side'. :p
