Semi Ticket Pricing

:) Looking a head to the home leg of the playoff semi's,will the Addmission prices mirror league game prices or is it a set pricing set by the league,or is it down to the club to set the pricing.:)

My personal experience of it is that they are usual league prices.

Perhaps more important is how they can make the Coppice End available to Stanley fans. Was talking to MR T last night and the official allocation to the opponents is 470. Can the Coppice End be segregated from the WH stand, and can Stanley sell 4,500 home tickets, would be a massive advantage to the team if that can be achieved.

Whinney Hill seating is 173 capacity, now what the whinney hill standing holds not to sure could 300 fit in to that area, could be a good idear to allocate the whole of the whinney hill stand =346 seats +the standing area next to the coppice, that would leave the whole of the coppice for home fans..

I think thats the general idea, but how do you segregate it all, ie turnstiles, toilets, snack bar etc etc

Redash 01-05-2011 11:22

Re: Semi Ticket Pricing

There is a big fence splitting the concourse on the coppice end, all it needs is a fence at the Clayton end of the cow shed and an extra burger trailer. The turnstiles and toilets are in place. Job Done.

Folks good questions, and nobody knows the answers (yet)

We are reading the rule books and will be asking the questions on Tuesday to all concerned. ( FL, police, LCC etc)

We didn't want to tempt fate or look arrogant before hand.

Lets let the staff have a couple of days off, recharge their batteries, as the month of May's going to be MASSIVE:)

Yesterday should have given the Club a good idea of what will work given it was mainly home support that attended.

I like the idea of three sides being Stanley but would atmosphere be lost by possibly being spread?

You would like to think we would sell out for such a massive game but if limits are capped at home on away support could the same happen away?

maccawozzagod 01-05-2011 14:15

Re: Semi Ticket Pricing

atmosphere wouldn't be lost Google Page Ranking as the Clayton Enders would still be on the Clayton End all nice and snug together!

as far as away support being capped I would have thought that 470 would be fine? After all we only had 374 at Shrewsbury despite what was on offer and cheap transport arranged. We'd possibly sell out 470 tickets but if we were given a 1000 we'd be nowhere near it. I hope to be wrong though ...

I don't think it will matter too much if the same happens at the away game if it's Torquay. I can't see more than 500 Stanley fans making that trip. It's a trade off worth making though if you can get 4,500 behind Stanley at the home leg.

Now confirmed on fishy site

It could be a good money spinner for the Club now it's on Sky to maybe have it on not just in the Crown but maybe make use of the Lounge would be good for those who can't make the first leg to all be able to watch it in the company of fellow Stanley fans:)

Bit of an assumption in that story.

If Port Vale win 6-0, Gillingham get beat by any score and Stevenage lose 6-0 then Port Vale will be in the play offs .

Dave, with regards toilets, there both sets of toilets at either end of the Coppice terrace, however, it is possible to split the terrace at the back with the fencing and gating already in place. This would mean using the turnstiles nearest the Whinney Hill Terrace for away fans and the ones nearest Livingstone Road for home fans. All that would be required would be the extra burger van!

:D

The toilet situation would need addressing as there are no longer Ladies' facilities

Yes Luke, this is still the away end, but what they are saying on here is if we get say Torquay they won't bring that many so far for a night match. therefore, put them in the Whinney Hill terrace (with seating) up to the gate on the away stand (should comfortably take 400 in this area). then the remainder of the ground would be for Accy supporters which many are expecting about 4,000 + for this match. Lord only knows how many we would take to OT if we were to win the semis!!!:D

Even if they could do it I would imagine they will wait to see who the opposition are to see if it's worth it.

maccawozzagod 05-05-2011 11:35

Re: Semi Ticket Pricing

surprised (but very happy) that we haven't tried to cash in with the pricing. I was expecting a £20 price to apply which (as with all the big cup games when we have charged it) would have impacted the gate. At normal match day price there is no reason why we shouldn't sell out the ground. Maybe it should be time to have a look at retaining the away end?

i expect they will see how tickets go first and who the opponents are. Gillingham will sell all their tickets, and I also think Torquay will do better than many expect. They have average away crowds of around 400 and that is fantastic when you consider that they only have a couple of games within a 150 mile round trip radius. I'd fully expect at least a 1000 from them.

Sky TV pay £20k to each team for each game

gate receipts are 50% to the pool (money shared by all teams in the league) and 50% shared between all four contestants - therefore we'll get more money than what we take because we'll have the lowest gate! In the final it is the same except the 2nd 50% is shared between just the two contestants. Both sets of figures are after all normal matchday expenses are deducted.

If it's the usual stewarding at Old Traffoed there will be no lags allowed. We were down for the Champions League game last year and even when we got the small flags in the stewards took them off us. Luckily we got them back after the game.

Should be interesting. Technically the ground is being hired by the Football League for the day and they should decide the rules on flags etc.

None of last years League 2 semi's sold out. 2 years ago the Turf wasn't sold out for the first leg either. I'm not convinced there will be a full house at Stanley either. The semi-finals really are a strange couple of matches which is hard to describe.

The game at Accy on the 20th is ALL TICKET.

Although we are able to sell until all home areas are sold.

Fairly sure the main stand is nearly sold out, and I guess the Clayton End standing area won't be far behind, hence the decision to open the Coppice for home supporters too!:)

Re: Semi Ticket Pricing

think given the state of ticket sales, nearer the time, would be wise to announce Pay On Day, if theres still room in certain areas.
