Re: Team vs Burton
Just out of interest, how many games does a player have to have played in to qualify for a medal if the team gets through the play offs and wins promotion?
Quite a few players seem to have been on the bench every week but rarely get on. There is also forgotten man Jon Bateson, he played the first 12 league games. He's back at Stanley but can't play against Burton due to a knee ligament injury picked up playing for Altrincham against Fleetwood recently. |
Re: Team vs Burton
it used to be 14 in the top divisions but no idea anymore in the bargain basement league. But as an aside I am sure that subs do get counted even if they don't come on. I remember Bobby Mimms got one for Rovers when they bought the title in 95, even though he never played a game

Re: Team vs Burton
Also , how many changes can JC make without getting done by the FA

From what I can gather there isn't a specific number, it's in the opinion of the FA or Football League. I don't think the Football League bother about it as much as the FA. Especially as this one has no bearing on any promotion or relegation issues for any club. It's not uncommon for clubs with nothing to play for to play fringe players or kids from the youth teams to see if they are good enough for future plans. |
