Stevenage

so now we know who we play in the play offs. I would like to wish our team the best of luck in these matches and hope you really do get to league one as you truely deserve it. On another note , you have done us fans proud this season , you have never let us down , I hope you all feel as proud as you have made us fans feel.........I believe.

Not suprising really, 7,000 capacity. The first leg is a strange match for the fans, you know at the end of it there's not really a result, unless you win 6-0 of course :D

Draw at Stevenage a win at home simple as that really. Bring on old trafford.

Re: Stevenage

It's time to lay another ghost to rest. That place has been a graveyard for us in the past .......Let's hope the boys can go down there and get the result !!! I'm sure Coley and the boys can get us through next Sunday and come out of it with a good result and we have always played well on Sky when they've covered our games!!

And as for their self righteous fans....the best way to shut those clowns up is to give them a trouncing on their own hallowed ground...I'm sure that won't be lost on Coley & the boys!!!!:dflam:

Roll on next Sunday !!!

BELIEVE !!!!

Some tongue-in-cheek comments already:
Borochat - Stevenage fc finished above all our rivals this year

as well as
'I wouldn't go to that cess-pit if they paid me' and
'I love going up there. Makes you grateful that you live elsewhere' :)

Lets not count our chickens . All we should be asking is the lads to do their best , we know they always do . Come on Stanley you can do this!!!!!!!!

I think theresonlyoneaccy means tickets for the away leg on Sunday, was wondering the same myself. Anyone heard anything?

lancsdave 09-05-2011 10:10

Re: Stevenage

I would imagine it's pay on the gate. The away end holds 1400 and Stevenage haven't made the match all ticket for their fans anyway

Phoned up for home leg tickets today and they said it'll go up on the website when they've finished finalising details.

Any idea of a price?

AccyMad 09-05-2011 13:14

Re: Stevenage

Stevenage's usual match prices are 18 quid adult,15 concession & a tenner for under 18's I think, unless Westley decides he wants to fleece folk for this one :)

steve claridge doesnt know what hes talking about half the time, plus these so called 'pundits' would of backed us for the drop like every season, however we always seem to prove them wrong!

Claridge is a cock. With 2 games to go (before the Barnet home match) he was asked for his likely play off teams. Shrewsbury or Wycombe were 1st and then the other 3 that were in contention. He never mentioned us despite the fact that we needed only a point to guarantee it, and were at home with a record of 9 wins and a draw, having scored 3 or more in six of those games.

I prefer the other guy who i cant remember, Garth Crooks is it?

Referees:
First Leg: Roger East who was ref when we lost 2-1 at Wycombe in Jan 09.
Second Leg: Russell Booth who was ref when we beat Rochdale away 2-1 in Oct 09 and when we beat Barnet 1-0 in the cup replay in Dec 09. He sent off Stevenage's Maamria when he refereed them in the Conference at Barnet in 2004!
