Shame really, after he got them out of the Conference.

Mmm - wonder how many threads there are on their message board mumbling about him being "out of his depth" or having "taken us as far as he can" ?

Do they really think Coleman would go to morecambe. They're awful and that new ground is soulless.

All their fans do is moan & groan... just like they did in the conference year on year.

A good club, but riddleed with rubbish in the stands.

......but just supposing you don't gain promotion, things could change and we CAN afford him.

You just never know.

I know that our Board have a fantastic on-going relationship with JC.

You should sort yourselves out instead of constantly looking to Stanley for inspiration ....

Coleman is Stanley & a move to Morecambe wouldn't be allowed by OUR chairman Lord Illyas Khan of Barnfield

....plus a salary to match most in the league.

Re: Morecambe on the lookout for a new manager...

If he was going to leave why would he go to Morecambe when Bradford is on offer. Bradford is the biggest job in this league and they'd snap him up. If he leaves when Stanley are doing well it'd be to Tranmere or Bradford. If however he leaves when Stanley are doing badly there is a chance for Morecambe.

Re: Morecambe on the lookout for a new manager...

Whilst I am certain JC has an affection for Morecambe, as others have said, there are bigger fish on the horizon to fend off. OK Morecambe have a large playing budget of 1.2m (I find this hard to believe) the wages he is getting at Stanley are a match for a lot of other clubs. However, the clubs I would worry about are Bradford and Tranmere, bigger clubs and bigger budgets, just haven't had the managers to match their ambitions. JC and JB have now got ambitions to take Stanley to league one (which is manageable), I have no doubt with promotion there will be an increase in revenue bot on walk ons to the ground and merchandise sales etc etc, this will lead to an increase in money available for the team. No great shakes if the club don't succeed in their ambition for League One football, there is always next year, providing we don't do as Morecambe did this year and implode. Is this a ploy by other teams to unsettle our team prior to the play offs? Is this a touch of jealousy by the underachievers?

Re: Morecambe on the lookout for a new manager...

Les Parry has signed a 1 year contract to stay as Tranmere manager today.

Im worried about Bradford and Vale to be honest.

IF we go up, nothing to fear :)

bradford cant afford the compensation apparently.

No wonder, they keep giving all the money to their managers, who keep getting sacked.

Re: Morecambe on the lookout for a new manager...

Though Coley has a bit of history wi em, would be shocked if he went yon if it was offered, the club has no league history, i think if n when it happens twill be somebody with a better pedigree n Morecambe.

he wants a club who will match his ambition

with iylas at the helm and a new ground on the way, we are starting to show some ambition.
would be great if we could find the team a permanent home for training, im sure that would be a big plus.

I am not quite sure how it has worked in terms if it's a long term arrangement but I think it's also more than a coincidence that since Stanley have been training at the Rugby Club in Blackburn results have more than picked up.

It must help they have a settled base with facilities where not only they can train but also eat together etc.
