comes across as a tad frustrated, some what reflective and appears to be tired.

people have been saying for months now that Coley appears 'tired' and that his body language suggest he is ready to go. Is there any chance that he isn't tired and he is not ready to disappear, it's just that age is catching up with now and he is on the verge of becoming an old fogey? (sorry Coley, and sorry to all the other old fogies!)


as far as translating the interview is concerned;


training is going well
Sean is a money grabber
the lads are happy to have seen a lot of the ball
he had a short holiday
he is peed off at Sean
he has a couple of irons in the fire regards transfers in
Sean is a money grabber
the lads that have re-signed feel let down by some of the Seans of this world
we need to arrange an extra friendly or two
Alan Burton wants to get in the team

Has anybody considered that he might seem tired in these interviews cos he's absolutely fed up with me asking him daft questions?!!!

Dan, any chance that the camera could be positioned just off either of your shoulders and a little above; it's hard to watch coley when he keeps looking past you by about two yards. It looks like he's looking out of the window. :)

Don't ask daft questions; just keep up the great work because you are giving us an eye on the Stanley world that the club itself isn't. I'll also comment that your transparency and directness is appreciated and warming. Any chance of getting an Anchor Woman to ask the questions? :eek: lol, sorry, I digress. :D

Good post Rob and very valid observations. I have gone on about his body language; but I'm not in anyway sure that he'd be pushed over the edge just yet; for from it; he's a tough fogie; (I think he's younger than me Rob):eek: but I'm not sure he's as happy with his lot :o and the ups and downs of the last couple of seasons must be impacting on his will to persevere; but at the end of the day he will stay tight lipped on matters beyond his control with just the odd slip (like the wages issue) to let people know he's going to back his boys all the way. :D

Truth is; he's there at the club and in his owns words he's staying; like the team we have to build on that and each and every person with Stanley in their blood have to back him and Jimmy to the end. :):)

I do not think that it is just Macca that he feels let down by Macca, I do not think that Sunbeds going to Stevenage would have helped!!! :eek: :)

Gornell to Shrewsbury? not arsed. Kinda expected him to move on and was grateful for the 3/4 of a season that he gave us. Has gone to a good progressive club that has an excellent chance of promotion and should really be pushing for the title.

Jacobson to Shrewsbury? same again really and thanks for the memories.

Ryan to Scunthorpe? still think he could have made a better move but no doubt he had options and chose the Irons for a reason. Always expected him to go and I think we have had a season more than I expected from him - and certainly half a season more. Thanks again Jimmy and good luck.

Cisak to Oldham? Not wholly unexpected but imho a bad move for Alex. Very good chance of not being number 1 and has gone to another club that has form for not paying players on time. They are amongst the bookies favourites for relegation and he could lose his Olympic hopes on the back of that even if he plays every week. Should have stayed.

Edwards to Stevenage? I think this annoyed me moreso because of where he went but mostly because it was out of the blue. Clubs tend to release defenders rather than target them and the fact that he had been a fixture at the club for so long kinda made me complacent. I cant begrudge him the move as he deserves a crack up the leagues but a) Stevenage and b) how much extra can they paying him to make up for relocating South? Time will tell whether it was a bad move or not for him.

McConville to Stockport? Yes this was one has annoyed me the most. A young lad playing in a team full of close mates (well Scouses), with his uncle as the gaffer (ish) and almost a guaranteed start. By his own admission Stanley had made a significant increased offer for his retained services and he should have bitten their hand off. He knows that here his career would have continued on as upwards a curve as he can make possible, but a league lower down he will only shine against inferior plaand he's players, and his new club are owned by dodgies. A bad move for Sean, a loss for the club, and a kick in the teeth for Uncles Jimmy and John. I'm not sore at the loss of him as a player, but on the back of everyone else as well it feels like we've been well and truly raped this year.

The other side of the coin is could or should the club have increased their offers for certain players once they knew of interest? If Sean was upscaled from say £400 to £800 a week, should we have thrown another £200 in to keep him? Half of me says yes - we need as many of last years squad as possible, the other half says no not at all, if coley thinks he was worth £800 then why pay him more.

On the plus side though, the higher earners (i imagine) have buggared off and I expect we'll be replacing them largely with no mark, unwanted elsewhere, glad of the money types who will cost half of those they are replacing! maybe.

Doug, all this newish stuff is about experimentation and trial and error... I think the quality of the videos is slowly getting better, but I'll try to consider camera positions in future.

On a wider note, bearing in mind that the videos take the longest to set up and are very difficult to do quickly, how many would you like to see? I'm hoping for one a week minimum...

Connected to that is the audio interviews as were the norm last season. Bearing in mind that they are very quick to edit, can be done almost anywhere and are small so upload quickly, what place do people think they have?

Dan, Am I right in thinking this is done off your own bat with minimal income from the club? Is a donation or sponsorship option being considered to assist funding?

The videos are great; yes raw in places but far better than I could do and in my option fantastic asset to us the supporters and it documents the current situation and builds an archive that can be added to the history of the club. If it's viable I'd like to see as many as you can do that is relevant to the club, supporters needs and your nerves can take.

Please forgive me if you felt I was been a tit with the comments; much of it was tongue in cheek. Tony's pictures aside (much missed) this is a excellent additional window on the Stanley world and invaluable to those of us away from the Crown.

Future like to see's:

Personality profiles of people behind the club; the back room people that make it tick.

Player profiles as they develop through the season.

Key people promoting the supporters interests; Those who make things happen.

Lots of Coleman & Bell; no holds barred.
