Re: Sean Mc
Sean Mc scored goals from midfield in a side that made the play offs comfortably.....that is all.
|
Re: Sean Mc
Maybe we should start charging £1 to post on this thread, could pay for a "McConville Type" scoring midfielder on-loan for the rest of the season. :D

Re: Sean Mc
13 league goals in division two suggests he's playing below his level :)
|
Re: Sean Mc
Oh dear!!!
See the lad was sent off today in a 2 - 0 defeat to Stockport County. hmm.....Surprised he hasn't turned up at Southport yet?? |

Re: Sean Mc
Smobile just reminded me about the relevance or irrelevance of this thris thread on AccyWeb. Just thought I'd revisit it and now I am wondering if Sean is staying with Stalybridge next season?
:130: |
Re: Sean Mc
Isn't he a scouser? Better ask Davo, the Mystic Meg of Merseyside.

Re: Sean Mc
His 14 goals this season went a long way to keeping Staylebridge up....
Match report from the last game of the season ............ Any chance Workington had evaporated at the start of the second half. An off the ball incident just outside the Workington box left Paul Ennis requiring treatment; so instead of Ennis taking the resulting free kick, up stepped Sean McConville, and he produced one of stunning quality, curling up and over and back down and round Jamieson and into the net. :) :) :) |
Re: Sean Mc
I thought Staylebridge where in the drop zone?
|
Re: Sean Mc
They were, but Macca got them out of it ;) :) :)

Yes, "Pele The MASTER", is so good that he is still 'scoring' in his old age and when quite ill !;) I am sure that you agree that we should wish Pele the 'Great Man' well in his fight against illness.:mosher: The lad Sean is still scoring though!:p |
Re: Sean Mc
Sean McConville says Chester FC's thrashing of Lincoln City was a long time coming - Chester Chronicle chesters leading Goalscorer this season and also leading the assist table at the deva, he certainly can score an assist goals , a lot more that can be said about some of the midfield / forward players in our squad this season.

Re: Sean Mc
If coley is here next season I suspect a lot of out of contract players will be seeking pastures new, an hopefully a rebuild of the squad similar to the play off chasing team a few years ago Ryan, mcconville, gornell Edwards etc an the brand of football we all enjoyed that season on a truly awful pitch can return, because the last 2-3 seasons has seen us struggle to stay in the league playing non attractive football. For me the football genius will deliver an he needs backing more than ever right now.

Re: Sean Mc
Based on facts that for the 10 years he was here prior to he left for Rochdale he improved season upon season. Yet a lot of the players he's inherited this time round are not his own.
|
Re: Sean Mc
Professor Coleman's 10 year record from the past is a fact. And aren't we all grateful for what he did.
But the likelihood of him repeating that record over the next ten years (and what, end up in the Champions League?) is hope, not fact. As the bankers tell us, previous results are no guarantee of future performance. |
Re: Sean Mc
Of the starting eleven on Friday night, seven are the Professor's signings, with five of the seven subs also being 'his' players. That's 75% of the players on show.
But whatever, the 'facts', he's the manager and this is his team. |
Re: Sean Mc
Nice to see him picking up players player of the year award down at Chester. Also the golden boot with 11 goals. Strange that there awards is 2 weeks before there season finished. Maybe something we could look into to get more people there.

Super Sean McConville...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sean Mc
would love to see Sean back.
Had a few seasons in conference to toughen him up and still scoring goals from midfield. Out of contract so wouldn't cost anything and obviously in form (player of year at Chester) come on lads(and redraine) you know it makes sense !!!! |
