Re: Barrow Friendly

I was there at Barrow and the smoke bomb ended up blowing in my direction as I was stood close to the people who set it off. I want to watch football games without people causing me and fellow supporters grief, actions like this will only make things worse for all supporters in terms of reputation and treatment by relevant authorities on future away games. Similar incidents to this have happened in the past, most notably at Stevenage in the play-offs and at Cheltenham in May 2010.

Why do we have to have this minority ruining it for the vast majority of supporters who dont cause hassle? I would imagine the lad that was escorted off the game will end up with a ban, after all the problems with the Newcastle game I would have hoped that this group of supporters would have thought a bit more about their actions especially with what happened to Jason. However, this doesn't seem to have made a blind bit of difference as actions have shown. It's high time these people grew up and stopped acting like a bunch of idiots.

Just to let you know the group was in full support of doing the red smoke at Barrow! Were not hooligans but an ultra group who are there to support our team in noise and also in colour ! At Barrow our display was flags and the red smoke ! No one was injured, hurt or even effected by the smoke as it was an open terrace with hardly anyone in it !

I suggest you all make your own groups , travel around the country and support your team before all the bad comments ! The Stanley would be dead without us lot as I can't see many of you creating a group and doing anything ! Also the guy who got a caution followed his team last season to every home and away game ! I'm sure you all do that !? But now he's a thug for letting off a bit of smoke in an opened terrace ! I hope you all slag off the 100 or so people passing on cancer who were smoking in the ground and also the stewards who were also !

The conclusion is we will keep doing what we doing with supporting our team in the different ways and if you don't like it then that's your problem and not the groups !

Were not thugs or criminals , just Stanley Ultras.

It is a criminal offence to take an offensive weapon into a football ground. Smoke bombs are classed as offessive weapons. So what does that make you?

You carry on as you are doing. We are getting a bad name now and it will only get worse. You may think it is clever to break the law in the name of Accrington Stanley but I don't.

If you break the law you are a criminal, so stop giviing us all that rubbish about being "fans not criminals"

It's also a criminal offense to smoke in a football ground and also in a public place ! So are the 50 odd other Stanley fans criminals then jeff?!

We've never had a bad name and most compliments we get are about the ultras !

You make it sound as if we do it every game , we don't , just the odd occasions ! The crap little ones that have been done on a tuesday/friday night are from the little Blackburn ****s that you can't do anything about !

It was a friendly yesterday , hardly no -one in a terrace ! Not forgetting the terrace is open so all the smoke went straight into the air ! It's not the worst crime ever commuted is it ! However the people that were smoking inside thr ground and even the stewards are not criminals are they not ?

I'm sure your all nice , prefect Christians in here! So I can understand your anger if you've never sinned against the law ! I hope you don't go over the speed limit today on the road as you will be criminals like us !

Smoking at Barrow is only banned in the stands. Everyone that wants to smoke in the away end is allowed to. This was pointed out by the chap on the tannoy.

You Ultras do a great job, but NOT when clearly breaking the law. Simples!

Maybe not at Barrow, but how about Stevenage .....

..... or the chap at Cheltenham who wound up in an ambulance after two smokes there flashed the stewards up and resulted in a ruck ....

..... or Jase getting banned after the Newcastle game, again following a ruck following a flare, which spoilt arguably the greatest night ever at the Crown ..... and I acknowledge the great atmosphere then as always was down to the Ultras. Yes you are fantastic supporters - but (some of) you just don't always know where to draw the line, and for me that takes a bit of the shine off it.

No!!!! It was announced over the tannoy that smoking is allowed on all the open parts of the ground and only banned in the stand and under the covered terrace.

Re: Barrow Friendly

This is my last post on my thread as there is no point in it ! Why talk about Stevenage or Cheltenham ? This is a thread about Barrow ? also smoking is banned in a public place ?

We know it's illegal and so are lots of things in life but we only do the smoke to create a scene of colour and atmosphere ! Not to cause people problems ! The terrace was open and there seemed to be no risk so we planned to do it ! Right or wrong as it is, it's what we do !

We will keep doing displays and supporting the club ! By different means, flags etc etc !
+ it was a small smoke not a flare , we have never done a flare ! Massive difference!

Sorry to the people who don't like it but it's what we do best and will keep doing it !

Adios .

But you are obviously causing people problems. You will be caught on camera one of these times and then it really will be adios. Was it you who set off the smoke or were you just an innocent bystander who watched whilst somebody else did the dirty work and got arreated ?
