Proccy gone - confirmed
confirmed it 6 minutes ago on Facebook
Andrew Procter Just signed for Preston North End, very excited! Had a wonderful 10 yrs at ASFC, can't thank the fans & all the staff enough |
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Gutted to see him go, but pleased for the lad.
Thanks for everything Proccy, good luck. |

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Congratulations Proccy!
He's been a great servant to the club and deserves the opportunity to play at a higher level. We'll miss his height in midfield, but IMHO he hasn't really looked as effective in our current system and will be more suited to a Westley-type of game. Just hope we manage to keep Brian Hughes now as a midfield three of Hughes, Joyce & Barnett looks much more balanced to me (apart from the height part). |
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Talk about shocked, I dont think anybody saw this one coming.
Somehow I dont think Westley likes us !! Cannot thank proccy enough for what he achieved at our tiny club, he will forever be a club legend, but a move to a club the size of Preston cannot be turned down. Make no mistake he could have gone to Rochdale 2 summers ago, or Stevenage last summer, yet chose to stay. I feel this move is perfect for him and I wish him all the luck in the world. BUT........... as people have said he is not irreplaceable, hopefully this means we can keep Hughes till at LEAST the summer if not beyond, as well as adding a couple more names to the squad........ Aparently sunbed's is available (thats from a reliable source) ;) |

Proccy included, by all acounts was on the coach to Aldershot and had to get off from what I heard. Good luck to him. Probably 18 month contract and Stanley get some money which they wouldn't have got had Weasley had his way in the summer. |
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
now sign hughes up and all will be much better. Bring on the shots

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Good move for Andy and wish him all the best. As a now southern based Accy lad who he wouldn't know from Adam, I found him very approachable for a word and autograph. Honourable captain who leaves with genuine best wishes of us all.

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
:)Good luck Procky:)

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
All the best, Proccy. Always gave everything and scored some cracking thunderbolts, especially memorable ones away from home. We don't really have a midfield enforcer now - how about moving Deano into midfield. What dust think, Football 19?

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Good luck Proccy lad, a true Stanley legend that 30 yarder against Macc to keep us safe will remain with me forever, got admit it was a shock when I heard the news and it seemed like the end of the world, but looking back at legends we have lost in the past we seem to get stronger On Staney on

Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Proccy has been a great servant to Stanley and although somewhat shocked by the news it is a good move for him and hopefully a bit of the money coming in can be put to good use by Coley.
Good Luck Proccy:) |
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
As an afterthought IMHO I think Proccy would have gone with sunbeds in the summer but for the fact it meant uprooting his family down south at least this move they can stay local.
We might see captain fantastic on the clayton end if PNE have no game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Redraine,he's played there before for blackburn, lot of people said that's his best position, but I think he's a better sweeper alongside a physical cb,
|
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Wish him all the best, been a good servant. hope he don't live to regret.

I know you all hate Westley, but surely you wish no ill of Andy Procter and will all clearly now have PNE as your 2nd team?:) I've been telling anyone who'll listen what a great singing this is for North End. I'm delighted for the lad....and PNE. |

Come on Ian, you and me both know, Dean's best position by a country mile is at centre half. He's been admirable at both left and right back but is surely best suited as a centre back. I can't remember any "academy" team getting the better of Dean and Jonathan when they played together in the middle of defence in their younger years at Rovers. They often had the likes of Daniel Sturridge in their back pockets. All these lads need, is the right break at the right time. That's the only difference between being a lower league player and a Premier league superstar. |
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
Good move for Andy and wish him all the best!!!
But now we can move on !! On wards and up !! Out with the old in with the new !!!! |
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
All the best Proccy, you deserve a chance at a higher level, hope all goes well. Wonder if he was aware what was about to happen to Coley? Good luck.:dancedog:

Lets be fair, who would have thought Phil Jones would have been tried there??,he was just an average lad who Big sam took a shine to,indeed,it was 50/50 wheither he got took on at 16!!!. People dont realise theres a fine line in footy, between success and faliure. Jon was a classy CB,and the coaches moved him (wrongly in my opinion). They won the academy league at 16 and lancs cup at 17,but lads who they dominated are in prem/championship now!!!. You need a large slice of luck to go up the ladder as well as talent. I have a strange feeling they will end up playing together again, probably at Acci, but hope its Wigan Ath:):):)--- ps I am the only person on this forum who likes Westley!!,Anyone who makes players train twice a day, five days a week will do me !! |

Probably?!?!!?! Definitaely more like. Hate him.
|
Re: Proccy gone - confirmed
OK,I will back track!!,I dont like him as a person, but I do like his training methods and the way he sets his teams out and the team spirit he generates.
Remember,he totally out-foxed Coley in the play-offs,and he must get a little respect for that:) |
