St Mirren game

Wow, what a game! Stay at homes missed a treat, with Stanley more than holding their own against the 6th best team in Scotland. Some great football from the Reds and too many stand out performances to mention, apart from Toto who is going to be a Stanley legend. Tony Warner was the keeper , by the way. Can't understand why it's supposed to be a secret. Beats sitting in front of the tele and watching the Olympics by a mile! Shocking turnout by Accrington's so-called supporters, even allowing for holidays.

I'm very pleased with our team, I'm quite excited for the coming season. Millers goal was a cracker and is already the goal of the season.

The future's bright, the future's red.

I think they announced the crowd as 797. Didn't reckon much of the Striker Stanley brought on five minutes from the end.

750-ish given over the tannoy. Majority were St Mirren fans though. They very sportingly applauded our fine goal.

In reply to the post so called Accrington supporters not attending today I am a season ticket holder very rarely miss a home game and go to a few away games been to 3 pre season away fixtures including yesterday at Padiham. I like putting a bit of money to the smaller clubs and spent quite a bit in the bar yesterday today choose not to go but watched Dan,s live text doe,s that mean I am a part time supporter don,t think so.

I enjoyed the game for a friendly. Toto had Thomo in his pocket all afternoon. Toto goes off and a minute or so later what happens ? :)

Bet that their No 7 - Dougie Imrie - was well impressed at being named on the team sheet as "Doughie Imrie"

:p

Unless he played like a pudding (which I'm sure he didn't) :D

See that Lewis Guy (ex Oldham and MK Dons) is playing there now

According to Dan he can only be named until international clearance is given, as hes played in KIWI (New Zealand)land ;) last season...As for the number 20 hes Frence and would think the same applies, who i thought had a good game when he came on in 2nd half, looked strong and had a good tuch.Number 18 looked the part as well, infact the whole team put in a good shift this aft. Boulds well for the coming season:) And what a great bunch of fans the Saints fans are acredit to St Mirren fc :)

Well an enjoyable day at the Crown, with some great away support from St Mirren.

Thought the draw was probably a fair result.

Only thing annoyed me was their tackling which I thought was massively OTT, their Midfielder with the grey hair should have been red-carded, or forced to be subbed at least seeing as it was a friendly.

Warner made 2 or 3 cracking saves and did his prospect of a deal no harm whatsoever.

Striker or 2 and we look good :)

Enjoy the golf boys !

He reminded me of McClean, ex Grays, Peterboro and now Hull, I think, who Coley tried to sign a few years back. Sign him up! Pity he had to come off with a pulled muscle even though it was fun seeing Bavs directing things up front.
