Karl Sheppard playing today

Karl Sheppard looks like a super loan acquisition
15 goals for Shamrock rovers last season & singed by Reading

He's a good player. Not good enough for the Premier League but he was very good in the League of Ireland.

After today, I'm much, much more excited by the prospect of Carl Shepherd doing the business than the possible return of Pod. He looks a real threat around the box, excellent close control and ability to turn defenders, with a superb finish under pressure. Hardly noticed Pod at all, and would rather go with Carver. Our "first team" didn't show the fluidity on display against St Mirren, and found it hard to cope with Coventry's movement and masterclass in finishing. Of the subs, Eckersley and Molyneux particularly impressed, but as for Murphy - don't get me going! Ask Anne Robinson.

She was talking about Dunsavin.:) BTW Rochdale (starring S. McConville) were beaten 3 - 1 by Southport today.

Today was the first game I've been abe to get to so far this pre season. Have to say that I'm really looking forward to the start of the season now, signs are very promising....well done Cooky and Liam the squads looking like its really taking shape. :)

1st pre season game for me too and I was quietly impressed. While still lacking a front man, i thought if the ball had have dropped a bit better for us we could have scored 3 or 4 today. I honestly believe if we'd have scored the 1st goal we would have won today. Thought Coventry were shocking (partly due to us) until they were given a 2 goal lead. Our passing was very good today just need to improve in the final 3rd. When long range shooting we need to work the keeper more.

Peter.:)

He's listed as playing for Marine seven days ago against Coley's lot. Slightly confused by him being referred to as 'former Accrington Man'.
Incidentally Craney and Putterill also featured in the game

Marine 0-1 Rochdale - Marine Football Club
