Re: Afc wimbledon away travel
Good to see there's alot of interest.... as usual
|
Re: Afc wimbledon away travel
I will be there.

Re: Afc wimbledon away travel
Numbers are really low, with only 15 people interested as it stands.
Unless we have a significant increase in bookings, the coach will not run. My apologies again Thanks Ash |
Re: Afc wimbledon away travel
Just 15 people out of a home support of between 1000-1500. Yes people have their reasons, but it is payday for most people this week and stanley are up there in the play offs. And yet theres only that many willing to travel (granted its not close but most away games are a trek this year).
Surely not everybody is busy every other saturday.... The lads need more support! |

Re: Afc wimbledon away travel
Even if it is payday this week. would guess most people have other commitments they need to meet with their wage first, mortgages, bills, food on the table etc., I'm sure most would love to go to every away game, I would for sure, but for many it's just not possible & folk have to pick the games they are able to go to - I doubt that the low level of interest is down to apathy, more a question of economics

COACH CANCELLED.
Only 16 booked on left me with no option but to cancel the coach. Sorry for any inconvience |
Re: Afc wimbledon away travel
Calling all southern-based Accringtonians - asses to Kingston on Saturday - Stanley expects every fan etc - don't forget the throat lozzies, bit of an act to follow from fortress Crown !

The sad truth is that Accrington Stanley is just not important enough. The home support is evidence of this as much as the away support. As far as the coach is concerned, it does seem odd to me as an outsider that it is not arranged by the Supporters Club. I have nothing but admiration for Ash and the efforts he makes to run a coach to away games. There must be a good reason why OSC does not arrange the coach - I'm sure someone will enlighten me. Again, speaking as an outsider, there seem to have been rumours in the past about behaviour on the coach that has given cause for concern. If that is true, maybe that has put some people off. No criticism is intended or implied in what I have just written. I am just as keen as everyong else to get better support for this great team. |

Re: Afc wimbledon away travel
Sorry, Dave. You've lost me there.
What I was trying to say, probably badly, was that despite the economic woes that we all face (well, most of us), Liverpool FC is so important to many fans that they are willing to travel from all over the UK to see their team at home. As things stand at the moment, Accrington Stanley FC is not that important to too many people. |
