Thankyou all of you for responding and for wishing Mike the best as he recovers from his big operation. I have printed them all and am sending them in with his wife asap. I am sure he will be really chuffed that so many of you are thinking of him at this tough time. Bob.

Re: RedRaine medical news

I got a wonderful boost when Bob showed me all your kind wishes, and Susan and I send you all our heartfelt thanks. Due to the amazing work of the Ambulance service, Blackburn Royal Assessment ward and the world-class skill and professionalism of Dr Ghose's team on the Neurosurgical wing at Preston Hospital I am now recovering from my op. back home. I am feeling great, getting about well in my Zimmer frame and learning how to walk again without falling over. I could not have been in a better place in all the world than Preston for my treatment and care, and will always be in the debt of the NHS for giving me some hope of seeing my grandchildren grow up (and maybe Stanley progressing up the tables). I now have to get myself strong enough for a further course of radiotherapy later in the month and must wear my hi-tech NASA back brace for at least three months. I had it made in red and white of course. I am going to try to upload a picture on here taken today of me with my new granddaughter, but knowing me, it might not work. It didn't!
