Home might be an issue though, their fans are animals and as far as I can remember are banned from the Crown Ground.

Going to Fylde for a competitive game would be fun. Enjoyed our pre-season jaunt. Even if it is the most randomly located ground in football. :)

I dont reckon Rochdale would fancy FC United!

I'd like to play at one of the grounds we haven't been to for many years, Bradford Park, Guiseley or Hyde would be smashing

Whoever gets FC United IF they go through (1st time ever, come on u Bulls!) WILL lose money game. Following their disgraceful behaviour at Rochdale and Brighton last year, any game FC play will cost the host club a small fortune in policing.

Yes we won't host FC at the Crown, unless we "have" too, we can't afford the repair bills!! Think they've been 5 times, and every time their fans behaviour has gone worse!

We'll know more about the draw at the end of the week, but expect ASFC to be ball number 1 as usual!!:)

Unless they get drawn away at Metropolitan Police. That'll sort 'em out!

Alternatively, a first round win at Edgar Street wouldn't half be a boost for Cooky and the team. Something Coley never managed to do.

Or we could just get drawn against South Park...

Hi everyone....so we beat AFC Fylde and we get you at home in 1st rnd proper...It`s only our second season back after bankrupcy,we got promotion last season through play-offs...now called Ilkeston fc,we lost the town bit as we couldn`t return under same name,,average gates of 550,not doing great at moment, but we are improving over last few games,if we meet we`ll give you a friendly welcome and a good game at the NMG.

Given that their ground only holds 1950 I think it's a near certainty it'll be all ticket!:(

Anyone know the F.A. rules about ticket allocations??? I seem to remember that a home team has to give 20% to away fans (or summat like ):confused:

Re: FA Cup First rd Draw

15% to away clubs, unless ground segregation prevents that.

They had FC Utd there recently with 1200+ on.

Suspect parking will be the major issue, suspect Ash's travel solutions will come into play:)

15% I think, but that is also dependent on safety issues. ie If a section of the ground that can be segregated only holds 10% of the total they would be allowed to do that. Can't imagine they have segregation as standard at Fylde, not that it should be needed anyway.

I've been looking on National rail enquiries and it's £9.10 return from Blackburn and around a 35 minute trip direct to Kirkham & Wesham station, which in turn (looking on Google maps ) looks only a five minute walk to their ground...

15% of 1950 equates to about 290 tickets !! Mad scramble follows for them tickets if that's the case !!!

Re: FA Cup First rd Draw

AFC Fylde is based in an area called ‘The Fylde Coast’ located between Blackpool and Preston.

Kellamergh Park is located in WARTON. EXIT via Junction 3 M55 (signposted A585 Fleetwood/Kirkham).

Up approach and turn left towards signs for Kirkham. In around 3/4 mile you will approach a roundabout. Then follow the signs for Wrea Green and Lytham St. Annes (2nd exit) B5259.

After another 500 yards you will approach a new roundabout (go straight on) and 1/4 mile you will go over main Preston/Blackpool railway bridge and drop down almost immediately to a small mini roundabout (pub on left called Kingfisher). Carry on straight over this and up to main roundabout (another 200 yards) at junction of main Preston/Blackpool A583. Go straight over roundabout and drive on into Wrea Green Village.

At 2nd mini roundabout in the centre of the village (Church on right and Primary School) take left turn into Bryning Lane, signposted on The Green (small white signpost) to Warton (2 miles). The Green will now be on your right as you exit out of the village and in around 1.8 miles you will come to the Birley Arms Pub on your left.

Turn left at The Birley Arms Pub Car park and continue to drive through the car park down an access road and park in the Main Club Car Park located behind the Main Stand.

Approximate mileage from motorway to the new ground is around 5 miles and will take around 10 minutes in a car to travel.

Nearest Railway Station: Kirkham & Wesham 4 miles away, (For a Taxi - call Kirkham Macs on 01772 683003).

Re: FA Cup First rd Draw

Hi Folks - AFC Fylde supporter here. My understanding, although the necessary meetings with Police etc have yet to take place, is that it will NOT be all ticket as we are not expecting to reach the new ground capacity of 2300. Since you came in pre season a new terraced stand has gone in at Kellamergh Park which runs the whole end at the Wrea Green end. You can see this on the AFC v FC United highlights on youtube. I would also not expect any segregation as we managed without v FC United and I would hope it would not be necessary for a game against yourselves. New turnstiles have also been put in for away fans so we now operate across 7 turnstiles rather than just the 3 you will have seen the past 2 pre season games.

Parking is the biggest issue but the club are working with Bae on this and for those that travel by train the club run a free shuttle bus from various locations in Kirkham.

We are excited to get you guys in the 1st round as we have an excellent realtionship already through the pre season games and hopefully you will enjoy your day with us.

Re: FA Cup First rd Draw

well, i have been to afc fylde plenty of times in the past couple of seasons and everything Blackpoolfylde (above) wrote is true. as you might expect.

the nearest station is kirkham and wesham and it is indeed a 4 mile hike away. the club run a couple of free buses from there to the ground. one goes at about 1.00 pm and a second at about 2.30 (for a 3.00 k.o)
after the match the bus does a return trip, but will go via all sorts of little villages etc but its still a nice ride and , hey, it's free!
or you can cycle (i have done that before and its not too bad, but maybe a bit chilly in November)

Parking is an issue. there is a small carpark which is just about ok for a crowd of 4-500, aside of that there is a pub car park which is not really for football fans. and then its just narrow country lanes all around. Sometimes for a big game they set up a separate car park at BAE Warton but that is a good 15-20 minute walk.

I am pleased for both clubs and to anyone going - have a good time. i shall miss it as i am on holiday (actually at Hamburg v Bayern that day, which is as far removed from AFC Fylde v Stanley as you can be)
Home for the replay though :p
