Webber for me the only one who's come out of this game with any credit. Richardson looks miles off the pace and on this showing cant believe he's been thrown in today. Also we're playing one up front, surely if the manager was planning to play this system we should have played like this pre season.

Also surprising Gray not involved - he's here cos I've seen him and Windsss

Not a start we would have wanted but it's early days yet, after all last season we had a great start - 3rd place after 9 games & then look what happened.
Hopefully this was just a blip, as Macca said earlier it was always gonna be hard against a team still high from their promotion.
Back to the drawing board for JB & the lads & hopefully we can learn from today & give Boro a shock on Tuesday

We wouldn't have expected to be 23rd on Day 1, so just imagine how 10,000 Portsmouth season-ticket orders are feeling. And this time they can't even blame their annual points deduction!

We are 22nd as Hartlepool will be bottom on goals scored. 3 teams on -3 goal difference two of them with 1 goal scored and Accy win on alphabetical order between those two. At least we are not in the relegation zone. :D

Didnt go but a friend did who is a Newport fan.
Reckons our worst player by some distance was Murphy.

Still suprised he gets in the team, effort over ability.
Had enough opportunities.
Same as Joyce.
Makes for a very limited midfield.

Whilst only listening today, seemed to play some good stuff at times? will be a good learning curve fer beats i reckon, I'm not downhearted, couple more signings n things will start to slot into place i feel.:)

As much as we were poor, I must say I was quite impressed with Newport, they are very organised, strong and physical and I think they will pick up a lot of points at home.

We were poor though - I would suggest several changes required on Tuesday. IMO Mingoia, Gray and Miller have more to offer than some of the starting 11 today

Correct - but when I posted, the BBC Sports website had us 23rd and Portsmouth last. Perhaps they hadn't heard about Rochdale's third goal .......

Have to say we were very poor today against another poor side no midfield one up front too easily knocked off the ball, hopefully can,t play that bad again.

Never trust the BBC :). Rochdale scored their 3rd in the 58th minute. I use the footiefox addon on firefox for the scores and it was more up to date than sky or bbc online.
