lancsdave thanks once again for the clarification on the matter,

I only know so much because I had the same issues with a Burnley game once and wasn't best pleased at paying twice :)

I agree, thats what I meant about making sure they price to make sure they cover the expenses of the re-arranged game. I would guess that's quite a percentage of the gate at Stanley, the days of paying stewards with washers have gone:D

Cheers for the clarifications Dave

I don't know how much expenses occur on a typical gate but I would think it's not a small percentage at Stanley. The worst thing about an abandoned match is that Morecambe can actually claim expenses out of the gate money, which they wouldn't normally get for an away match

Saw that on the FL section 5 Fixtures :)

Admission prices for the rearranged match will be reduced. Season ticket holders will of course get in for free. Morecambe fans were concerned that they had no evidence that they were at the match, however, reduced prices will apply to all fans attending the rearranged match regardless of whether they attended today. More details in due course.

They should have checked their own club rules first :)

Whoever pays the officials wants a bullet between the eyes,a disgraceful abandonment .

Or stopped their prima donna players from getting it abandoned in the first place!

I don't think you can give them performance related pay so it's not an option :D

The shame of it all is Bury fought and got a game cancelled as they had several untried signings, no one from Morecambe seemed to have made any approach to the officials before the dismissal asking for the game to be halted because of the pitch, and a victory for us would have seen us in 13 or 14 in the league,a wonderful turnaround .........Still 17 th is fine with games in hand,3 on York in 13 th and only 2 points ahead of us.

Exactly and to be honest some of the post match comments on Radio Lancashire by your manager haven't helped the belief that MFC did all they could to get the match called off.
