Yes, Red, that's what gleaned from the aside from Mr.Beattie about what's in the club's best interest.
For that reason, I also tend to agree with F19 about Mr.Naismith's possible motivation for this first half performance (which I didn't see, but can believe it was good if Cashy thought so).
I hope I'm wrong on both counts and that Kal continues to bag a.....er,....bagful of goals for Stanley.

My only concern Cashy is the bigger the club the bigger the expectations and he seems a confidence player who would struggle to deal with it.

One word "no"

Kal was a free agent when he joined us and no fee was paid for his services.

The last fee ASFC paid was for Sean Mc and please no more posts on that one!!

The fee was to the taxman to lift our transfer embargo. While it was paid in order to get the transfer of Naismith completed, we would have had to pay it anyway.

For what it's worth I don't think we should be rejecting financial offers for players that have to be carried through most matches. In our position, application of talent is required for 90 minutes, not just when you're in the mood.

I'd sell Naismith tomorrow if it meant we could get an experienced lg 2 centre midfield player and a target man in. It was nailed on he was going to perform yesterday in front of his potential new suitors.

There's 1000s of players at all levels of the game who could be fantastic if their attitude was right - they are the players that get managers the sack because they always get a 2nd chance because they could be match-winners, but rarely are.

Buxton and mustoe's distribution is awful.

Need to get Winnard and liddle back in the team, Hunt to right back and desperately need a c mid, another forward and a keeper

Problem is that I doubt if you could buy a new floodlight, never mind a good midfielder and striker (both like gold dust in League2) with what Bury allegedly offered.
I agree about selling, but not about giving away a potential match winner at a discount.
Also agree will be glad when Mr.Liddle is back to fitness and offers a defensive option.

Lids has also shown in the past that he can play the ball-winning role in midfield. He won't win many headers but, unlike Hunty, is young and versatile enough to learn positional sense.

Cant believe i missed that Shaker !!.
Didn't Lids play CB for Cooky when injuries kicked in?,so playing centrally would be a problem.

Rumours at our end that Proctor + Cash for Naismith. I am unsure if we need him but I think Proccy has no future at Bury and Flickers has already said Stanley had been enquiring about him (nothing set in concrete)

Proccy coming back if nothing else would certainly give a feelgood factor back to the terrace. And at least he'd bother to clap the travelling supporters unlike certain people....
