Just off to stroll down the road to the Shepherds Crook for a pint before the game :D.

Fearing the worst given their home form but hoping for the best, so predicting 2-2 with legs astride the top of the fence .......

Only Dave in Germany, Redash and Yerself Score More Points Than Stanley

Sorry to be late with the report, I was too stunned to do it at once :) and then focused on the replay :( and the war that broke out on the replay thread afterwards  (there is a "block" function Smudgie, but I can't use it 'cos I run this game - you could, but not on Cashy  surely?). Time for a Christmas truce methinks. Back to the prediction league .....

We were confident, most of us , with 19 expecting the win and only 4 seduced by Pompey's excellent home form, although 12 of us clambered onto the fence . Only Dave in Germany got the max 5 for a spot-on score :D, with Redash and Yerself hitting 4 thanks to Stanley hitting 3. 4 drawmongers and 3 pessimists also picked up a bonus point, mostly for Pompey's 2, though Stevie R got his from the Stanley side of his 3-3 goalfest  prediction.

Only 3 of our Top Ten went for the win, resulting in Ange B stretching her lead at the top to 6 points over Tommy McQueen, LongLostSon moving from 8th to 5th, and Accytom101 climbing over Jim's Lad to 9th. Elsewhere, optimists generally gained ground on the rest, but no huge movements to be seen.

So it's roll on the Chairboys as we put away the dreams :o and refocus on the league by welcoming the leaders to the Crown. 3-0 Stanley (Crooks 3 :D) anyone?

On Stanley On!!
