I remember Winnard almost having to rip the shirt off Mayor's back to stop him from running off into the distance at one stage in the first half and struggling to cope with Mayor all night.

Maybe it was Lidds who turned over possession for the free-kick (I can't remember and it's not shown on the highlights) but if the 6 foot 7 goalkeeper comes to claim the ball - as he should - then it wouldn't be an issue.

I'm afraid you won't win on this topic,Stanley. Footy19 has a thousand stats but a VERY selective memory!

Obviously you don't understand Dav0speak :D. Just because he doesn't say it doesn't mean you can imply it :p.

Danny Mayor at Bury is simply the best player in this League and with the vultures circling we might aswell settle for mid-table obscurity if he goes.---quote from a bury fan (shakerite).
Did Dean give him a game?,square peg/round hole !!!,come Stanley :)

Having watched the game against Bury I have to say if we can't beat a team like that then we don't deserve anything. The threat from Bury was poor and nothing our defence couldn't handle. They pinched the game against the run of play. John Coleman said he has not got a striker, He further claims both James Gray and Marcus Carver did not fit in the way Accrington play. Sorry but that is crap, Both of those players up front would be a great strike force. Why the experienced Nicky Hunt was not deployed against Bury was unbelievable. Adam Buxton was man of the match for me. We have the quality of players we just need to get the mix right. I do sometime find both John and Jimmy tactically lacking at times but we have to work with what we have got. If we lose against Northampton we will be doomed to mid /lower table oblivion. but on the bright side we might just go on a run to the play offs.
