No need to put the blame on anybody, penalties are a lottery - after giving their all for 120 minutes none of them should be criticized, they must all be devastated & deserve our 110% support

Let's not forget most of them Hull players were playing in the Prem last season and we matched them for 120 minutes, Like Coley said, if penalties had been taken into the Clayton End it may have been a different story!

Leave the lad alone at least he had the guts to step up in the sudden death cauldren he played very well last another good young player in our squad so get of his back and enjoy watching this good young squad.

Sounded like he had a good game, so fair play to the lad, looks like he has turned the corner after last season.

Must admit though of all the 11 players to take a penalty.... Mcconville and Crooks would have been bottom of my list !

Let's get off the lad's back. He was excellent last night - our best player on the night in my view. Don't forget he was against two lads who were regulars in the Premier League last season and didn't look out of place.

Some of the very best have missed penalties in shoot outs, and after 120 minutes 2nd game into the season, they're a a bit of a lottery. Someone has to take them and all in, we missed 3 out of 6, so not good enough.

Let's get behind him, rather than slate him. He's had a great start to the season and long may his form continue. Giving the team much at the moment

Have you actually seen him play this season? If so your eyesight must be as bad as your judgement. He must be the first name on Coley's team sheet now, possibly only behind Tom Davies who is our most dominant C.H. since Jonathan Smith was strutting his stuff!

I can't believe that we have just taken a ex premier league team, who put out a strong side for 120mins and onto pentalties, and you hanging one player, just be happy that this little club who is always odds on for relegation year after year just done that with this squad proberly the best one since the play off battle few years ago! Let's get behind the team!

Their goalie saved a couple of our penalties that were on target, so give credit where it is due , we didn't miss three out of six.

Were you there last night? I thought Crooks played well all night as did the rest of the team.

I'm pretty sure nothing you can say will make him feel worse. Give the guy a break!

Seeing he wasn't one of our 5 takers,its who had the balls to step up n deserves credit fer that imho. What about the 2 takers that missed before that? Pens have always been a lottery, which takes begger all away from a great display.

There is a huge difference between missing a penalty, skying it like a rugby ball and having a penalty saved by a Swiss international keeper.

Was there last night, actually work for Specsavers so not much problems there. A couple of decent pre season games doesn't turn the boy into a man.

Didn't criticise his performance, just criticised one of the worst penalties you will ever see, to put himself in the firing line after having such a tenious relationship with the fans is not an intelligent decision.

Most fans must have expected a miss #justsayin

Even by AccyWeb standards that's as colossal and pointless a moan as you'll see. Crooks is on fire this season. Why not blame one of the lads who shirked the 6th penalty. We could beat Barcelona 10-0 and some people would whinge it wasn't 11.

11 heroes last night and Crooksy should comfortably have been MOM. Do the sponsors ever actually watch the games?
