Blackburn, Burnley, Rochdale or Preston away, both doable on train now except if extra time and pens for the latter two.

Is the attendance money split 50/50 or does the home team keep the money? If it's the former i'd like Rovers or Preston away. If it's the latter i'd like Rovers or Preston at home. Leeds at home would be nice as well.

Must have a chance, Sky Sports had it as their main tweet, Portsmouth/Derby is a possible but not much else to choose as potential shocks.

I believe that both clubs have to agree on admission pricing and then the away team can claim 10% of any profit, not sure about if it,s televised.

45% of net proceeds to each team.

The Cardiff Cup game got a low crowd even with the 2 for 1 offer, so I doubt this will get many more than 2k.

Don't think the TV money is that great for Carling Cup, although even a fiver more than budgeted for is always welcome :)

Apparently after costs the clubs get 45% of the gate money 10% goes to the league TV money for rounds 1 to 4 is £75,000.

Re: league cup draw tuesday

I'm guessing its not on telly as the date has been announced and the televised games aren't due to be announced for another 10 minutes

maybe the club could get a few ex players down that have played for both clubs
les thompson, Bryan Hughes (Scarborough Manager), Alan Rogers, Gregg Abbott,
Steve Morgan, Gary Brabin (Southport Manager), oh yes maybe Jamie Devitt.
just a thought.

Rovers can confirm details for the forthcoming Capital One Cup first round tie against Shrewsbury Town.

Tenner at Blackburn same night. Bye bye walk ons, we can see you sneaking out.

Why are the club charging such a ridiculous amount for a league cup game? £20 is way too much

Possibly, but let's hope some of our Yorkshire brethren will find £20 a bargain to see their team.
the Tigershttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png will now be among the costliest clubs to support in next season's Championship.

I'm a Blackburn fan and was going to give our cup game a miss and come and watch Stanley instead that night.
After seeing the prices there's no chance I'm paying an extra tenner to watch Stanley. Seems really silly from a Stanley perspective?

Economic myopia indeed.

Under 18s £10 compared to Blackburn's £1.....

Hull will play their 2nd string and their fans will know that. I hope that CoC 2 for 1 deal is repeated!

Is it all ticket or can you pay on the gate?

Prices agreed with Hull, who will get more than ASFC!! Most Championship clubs get Solidarity and 80% of FL monies. L2 get 8%, but it's more than the Evostick!!;)

Chewbacca 26-06-2015 20:03

Re: league cup draw tuesday

Hull agreeing to Stanley's League match gate prices, yet last year they agreed to £10 in their one League Cup game away at West Brom.

Draw your own conclusions.

N.b. They have a laminate floor and running water at West Brom as well.

We should ask the club are they aware of this nonsense, This is simply and purely inept. Action needed.

The clubs agreed on a price. What action is required

Would Hull have agreed to a tenner? We don't budget for cup runs so what surely these are the games to try ideas out? Could have caught the imagination this one. Free school tickets with an accompanying adult for a tenner. Instead we'll be embarrased with a sub 1200 gate where once they queued down Livingstone Road for Huddersfield.

This is what happens when you become an established league club, the novelty wears off. To be fair the Carling Cup doesn't get people as excited as the FA Cup, but in reality it's probably a better chance for lower league clubs to get further because the bigger clubs play their reserves.

A 1200 gate in the Carling Cup is probably a big gate in the 1st round, but in all seriousness I do get where you're coming from ;)
