We've got Peter Murphy time back soon too.

Hughes was roasted for their first in the same fixture a few months ago, and he should not have committed a clear foul yesterday giving he ref the decision which could have gone either way. Can't complain about the ref, it is league 2 and we have had a lot worse, it was one player who cost us the game.

Ps, thanks for the kind words yonmon.

Wynonie - I've done that coach journey several times as an interested observer but City has lost its soul. Even City fans deep down despise the club it has become.

After your unwise complimentary post elsewhere to he who supposedly Liaises on our behalf with the Club, I am now revising my original thinking on your introductory notes !.

I am an exceedingly kind person Lord.D....or so I am told !.... but there is a point where my patience can be severely tested !. 😉

A glory hunting Leeds fan slagging off City on a Stanley forum. Great.

Conneely does the graft but then needs a lay off to someone who can pick out the runs. Sadly that's not there at the moment.
Clark is fit for the weekend and Gornell is nearly there.
They are the two changes I'd make. Gornell up top with Billy replacing Mcartan and Clark for Mconville wide left.

Think you're right about Connelys partner.
Hewitt looks like he's a bit of football about him and was doing OK until the implosion yesterday.

When you go Down to 10 men you need players upfront you can hold the ball up giving the midfield and defense time to compose Mc,Cartan is to easily robbed of the ball to do this and IMHO should have been subbed a lot earlier Coleman say,s the defence lost it,s shape must realize that the problem lies in possession of the ball also Conneely needs a quick midfielder next to him to push the ball forward. quicker the only two at the club Eagles and Browny both injured but if we had buried 3 chances before we scored we would have gone on to win let,s hope some of the money made from the Burnley game might be invested in someone who can poach the chances and convert them into goals and points.

Yonmon - admittedly my support for the new fan rep was alcohol fuelled so maybe I will reserve judgement until he has sorted out the pie situation.

Chewbacca - be pleased that Accrington can attract glory hunters these days. As I now have a scarf, sweatshirt and season ticket (and a wife who is potty about Matty P) then it's going to last until next May at least.

In that case, your Lordship, possibly a recruitment drive might be in order? I'm sure there are many habituees of the Albert, the Nelson, the Fletcher Moss and other watering holes who would find a spiritual home on the Clayton End, far from the commercialised excess of the Etihad!

After several viewings of the extended highlights I have to say where on earth did you get number 5 from ?
He turns about as fast as a super-tanker and tackles like Eddie Izzard.

He'd spent 120 mins seeing off Vokes and Grey three days before. Winning MOTM for his efforts. Then his fellow centre half was sent off leaving him to deal with the mighty Shrimps alone.

It was his seventh game as a league player.

So no, it wasn't a good game for him but he's got greatness stamped all over him.
