Sod the playoffs, sod automatic promotion, the title is there for the taking.

That's 3 wins and a draw in a supposedly tricky stretch of games.

Sounded like a hard earned three points after a tough match on Wednesday.
Well done to 93 fans who made the trip...RESPECT.

up to 9th in the table and we've played 6 of the 8 above us. Going well.

Less possession than Colchester and more shots on target. Great stuff.

Brown suspension doesn't unduly worry me either. Hewitt seems good enough as cover to me.

95 fans made the tortuous trip too!

Righto....off out to get legless in Berlin and spread the word of the greatness of Stanley to any poor bastard who can speak English.

"We are the Stanley boys....etc"

Odd game. We were well off the pace and then Rommy latched on to a long ball, held off three defenders and got a shot off that took a deflection and went in at the far post. Totally out of the blue, but then Coley played a masterstroke, took off Zac and brought on Terry, sending Rommy to right back! It suddenly became a different game. Terry was exellent, gave us an outlet and our winner was a terrific move down the right, lovely low cross and Billy in exactly the right place to tuck it away. They had a lot of the ball after this but didn't do anything with it, we'd knocked the fight out of them. Altogether now...Johnny Coleman FOOTBALL GENIUS!

Have a good evening everyone.

Great win! Scott Brown will only be suspended for 1 game, as it was 2 yellows and not a straight red if i'm right.

I never said it was anyone on here but I did hear a few people saying things!

If I'm honest, this season is possibly the best I've seen Rommy!

Re: Colchester and the ghosts of Layer Road

Don't like to admit it but Baldy's right, there were some who expressed doubts when Rommy returned in January - can't remember if it was anyone on here but I definitely heard/read some comments along the lines of was it a signing made out of sentiment & doubts if he'd be up to playing at our level.
Don't think anyone was against the signing as such, I think most of us have high regard for Rommy but some did have concerns as to his fitness as he hadn't had much game time on his travels.
Rommy himself has said that he wasn't fully fit when he came but we've all seen how his hard work in getting himself fit has paid off & I'm so glad he signed a new contract with us
