Oh dear, it gets worse - Cala had promised the funds would be available today, looks like someone was telling porkies

End of January pay day is the easiest to sort as you've just been sent your solidarity payment. If you can't pay January's you've no chance of paying Feb, Mar, Apr etc. I think even we managed to pay January's.
Maybe they're using the payment to repay debts/ loans etc.
Also best time to invest in a club just before these payments are due..... get my drift

If Cala isnt going to get the club then he isnt going to pay the wages!

There seems to be a lot of Ifs, Buts and Maybes before he gets his mitts on the club.

Been on radio lancs that non playing staff have been paid from existing club funds but no new funding has come in - they're presuming there'll have to be another loan from the PFA for the players wages

This is a dreadful situation. These days the FA should never allow a club to get into this state without early intervention.

Your assuming the FA give a flying fig for any club, Chrisr, or could do anything about the financial madness that is professional football even if it wanted to.

Sadly nowt to do with the FA.

The EFL allow and sanction all takeovers.

Sadly this one appears to gone "not just right"

There by the "grace of God and EW" ( john batchulor/ Lancashire Utd)

By the sound of it all their Eggs are in Cala's basket, but he won't pay wages until his group have passed the fit and proper test and all the old board resign from the board!

Worryingly is Cala hasn't got the best record at football clubs and surely if he was confident of passing the fit and proper test he would put money in now to start off on the right foot and show he has good intentions?

Re: Morecambe

It's his intentions that may be the problem.

There is an injunction threatening G50 Holdings the controlling company of Morecambe FC, which could effectively 'freeze' the company and prevent the sale of any shares
