Re: Emirates FA Cup Draw Round 3
it was never going to be a well attended game and to give it a chance the price should have been reduced just to get bums on seats and not discourage anyone from attending. the problem is common sense are two words that are never used in football and not just at stanley.

Why does it matter if it's for the Clayton end as they are on public sale according to the website. Only seats are restricted.

Re: Emirates FA Cup Draw Round 3
Since we had a new MD running the show common sense has been replaced by delusional greed. Cashy is a long time well known fan, Surely a little common courtesy and respect should have been employed. I would have asked had he any other ID and checked against the database to see if it matched, (assuming they have a database) Then I would have sold him a ticket. Stanley do not do public relations well at all. They used to. I won't be going to this game as it is over priced. The Club are burying their head in the sand and driving fans away. Why pay £20 to watch Stanley play Luton when you can watch a premier club play for £10. Even now the penny or pound won't have dropped. We need a proper decent human manager with people skills, They seem to be lacking at Stanley. Sorry for the whinge but I think my feelings on the MD at Stanley are well known. We are now suffering as a result. The problem is so easily solved it is embarrassing having to write about it. I fully support Cashy and anyone else who decides to give this match a miss. This is the only language some people at the club understand, The real loser is the club.

Re: Emirates FA Cup Draw Round 3
cashy the ticket sales staff are given directives on the sale of tickets, the ticket sales staff are fairly new to the job, had they been more experience they most probably would have been more amenable to your situation, being a season ticket holder like you I can't see its the price of a one of cup game expense that's deterring you from buying a ticket but more the insensitive way you situation was dealt with, best regards I'll have a drink waiting for you on the 7th if you change your mind mate

Re: Emirates FA Cup Draw Round 3
Just a little postscript to the ticket saga.
I rang up on Thursday to book my season ticket seat for the Luton game. No answer - I left a message on the answerphone. Still no returned phone call today. I have rung the club twice today - no answer on either occasion. A message left each time on answerphone - still no returned call. Maybe I'll follow Cashy's example and stay away. For goodness sake, Stanley, it's 2016, almost 2017. If there is no-one in the office to answer the phone, can the call not be transferred to the mobile number of someone who can answer. I wonder how many other prospective ticket buyers have been ignored over the last two days?? :(:(:( |
