Re: Plymouth match thread
Whichever way it goes am expecting a good game,Reckon recent form ours is best of the 2,if we play like we have been doing, think we will nick this un.

[QUOTE=st06nc2;1191281]Reading there forum, afew expecting a tough game
don,t think anyone will really fancy a game against us at the moment unlike a few months ago. |
Re: Plymouth match thread
Both teams need a win and three points....
Plymouth to maintain their challenge for the title and automatic promotion... and Stanley to continue our upward surge and an outside chance of getting into the 'Play Offs'. I think that Plymouth will be well and truly psyched up for this one but I do feel that we have a strong defence now and that they will only score one goal at the most. We now have the capabilty of scoring goals against any team in this division especially on the counter attack and from Shay's free kicks. So we will score too IMHO. A draw sounds like the likely outcome or we could just sneak a win!:jimbo: |
Re: Plymouth match thread
I think there's more pressure on Plymouth to win having just missed out last year, they'll be doing their damndest to get an automatic place this time around
|
Re: Plymouth match thread
Do you keep Chapman or put Rodak back in?
|
Re: Plymouth match thread
Easy - Rodak back. Conneely back as well.
|
Re: Plymouth match thread
If it's that easy why aren't we all managers of League teams?

Some decisions are easy - some are hard. I think this one is easy. Is that ok with you or do I need an A level to post ?

Re: Plymouth match thread
Captain Seamus Conneely remains doubtful after missing the last two matches with an ankle injury.
Scott Brown is definitely out as he continues to serve his suspension and Arron Davies is yet to fully recover from his foot injury. Goalkeeper Marek Rodak has returned from international duty and will contend with Aaron Chapman for the starting place in goal. |
Re: Plymouth match thread
Seamus is fit and available if selected.

Well it's on fishy site saying he remains doubtful so do you know something the club doesn't?

Re: Plymouth match thread
I think it may be a little too soon to bring Seamus back if there is any doubt. The young lad Husin can do a job very well after tuesday he has earned a place. If any changes were to be made I would seriously leave Billy on the bench. I would give young Edwards a run out. I fail to understand why he is not given more match time. Billy has not been on best form for a while. I do think we can at least get a draw and possibly nick it.

Re: Plymouth match thread
Don't know what's happened but my usual unshakeable belief in victory for the mighty Stanley has deserted me this morning as I awoke with fear and foreboding on my fevered brow.
All good things must come to an end and I sense heavy defeat in the air. Anyone making the journey? |

Nice try Lord D but not falling for that April Fool's jape :)

Re: Plymouth match thread
They didn't need to reach those heights mate. Gave a ridiculous goal away on the counter attack then left a centre forward on who could hardly walk who then gets told to take a penalty!! Then we get another one and miss again. You couldn't write it. I can think of at least 12 points extra we should have had on the board no bother.

Re: Plymouth match thread
Vindicated.
Captain back and first choice keeper. Now let's get the job done. |
Re: Plymouth match thread
Coneely in, the Don out.
Rodak returns. Thank god Husin retains his place. |
Re: Plymouth match thread

Re: Plymouth match thread
When a player is let go or not signed then goes back and scores a winner that in football terms is called making a point Sir - no grudges. As I said earlier in football circles Derek is one of the good guys - he just missed out this time and Coley didn't.

Re: Plymouth match thread
Funny really with Jordan - he did the same for Shrewsbury at Barnsley .......

One thing I do have to criticise is how easy our players are going down, we're starting to get a bad name, since when did the accy way include diving and falling over at the slightest touch

Looking at the video of McCartan's burst of pace (fantastic!), it looked like he was fouled in the box after the keeper made his save, but the ref saw it as a dive. In that case it looked like the ref was the one who 'took a dive' in front of the home fans. |
Re: Plymouth match thread
The phrase do unto others comes to mind. Sometimes you've just got to put morals to one side.

Re: Plymouth match thread
A great win.I would name Rodak as man of the match. He made three superlative saves. Although we were at the opposite end, it did seem that McCartan was fouled. Billy Kee certainly was fouled in the second half but one cannot expect the notorious Mr Deadman to get more than 10% of decisions correct. The assistant referee nearest to us Accy fans was equally inept.
McCartan did miss two great chances when 1-on-1 with the keeper. He should be putting those away. |
