Will get cancelled surely? Twenty Eight will know as it will probably be down to him to decide

I want to know why Aston villa who are about 20 miles north of Coventry are in the southern section and Peterborough who are more northern than Coventry but Coventry are in the northern section, Birmingham also further north than Coventry but In the southern section

More than likely to do with the seeding as both would be done separately. The same thing happened up here with the Scottish equivalent.

There will be more northern seeded teams so the cut off is higher up

money or lack of geographic knowledge. not surprised if its the latter as someone on a tea time game show last night thought nottingham was on the thames.

It's neither. As I have said earlier the seeds and non seeds are ranked separately therefore the cut off point for each is different. the more southern teams not seeded means there cut off is further south where as the seeded teams have more who come from the north.

We have had the same up here for a couple of years and it produces the same results.

Re: League cup

cheers for the explanation. why don,t they just draw the thing without the seed business though.

Does seeding not give the so called "Bigger Clubs" a better chance?

yes give em a better chance to get through more rounds picking weakened sides as they are not really interested in the competition until they fall into the semi finals more by luck than judgement. seedings only gives em chance to make even more money. next thing they,ll seed it on average gate to help em a bit more. must be hard work supporting sides like man.utd or chelsea who are really on the breadline.
