Re: Accy Weather
Just remember how the water vanished at half time the other week in 15 mins, i dont see how the hell the match will be in jeopardy if the forecast is right.

Re: Accy Weather
Somerset - what advice would you give ?
|
Re: Accy Weather
Here's a suggestion. Move back to the Spiritual Home! Peel Park FC always manage to finish their East Lancs League games even when Stanley has been abandoned. If the worst came to the worst you would always have the rather excellent Peel Park Hotel 20 metres away.

Re: Accy Weather
What a lot of us wouldn't give to be able to do that Mr.Observer - somehow i think the school might have summat to say about it though . . . . . . .

What are the prospects for Saturday? I was hoping to come north for this one but not if it is looking iffy. I have been caught out too often in the past!

If this is the case then it would seem rather unfair on any Port Vale supporters who would have to leave that part of the world at an even earlier time !. Which makes me feel that if a pitch inspection is necessary, then this must be carried out at a time which will have the interests of all supporters in mind. ( Not wishing to cast any doubt on MH's post whatsoever ! ). Let us all hope that the covering of the pitch will be effective enough to allow what promises to be a good match to go ahead. See you there !. ON STANLEY!... ON TO GREATER THINGS !. |
Re: Accy Weather
Cannot see anything about pitch inspection anywhere??

Post 13 from Monkey Hanger Joe !.. Nothing elsewhere though !.. Latest forecast a bit ominous though ?. Hope for the best... Prepare for the worst ?.🤔🤔 |
Re: Accy Weather
my 1.30 pitch inspection seems to have been taken seriously. its my lowest form of wit but you never know at the wham until the game actually kicks off and finishes.
|
Re: Accy Weather
Game on ref been down already says no need for an inspection.
|
Re: Accy Weather
Thanks Andyd it's good that someone is letting us have upto the minute information.
|
Re: Accy Weather
And a great well done to all lads and lasses who took the time to cover and uncover the pitch for this game proving what a wonderful club we are!

Friends are, as I write, offering words of consolation to me, and advising me in my paranoia not to see this as a conspiracy theory on my behalf ,and merely an attempt to keep interested fans up to date with the Port Vale match . AND NOW IT IS SNOWING IN SUNNY RISHTON !... Time for my 10.00am medication methinks !...... 😉😎🤔😣😥 |
Re: Accy Weather
It is the ref's job to inspect the pitch every game so it still needs to be done.
As help is needed to remove the covers it is unlikely the ref has seen much of the pitch. The slow isn't bad at the moment and it should clear up well before the game, you would imagine it isn't going to be waterlogged this week. |
Re: Accy Weather
Well its still consistently coming down in ossy. no information at all from the club, thats a surprise.
