Re: Ave attendances home and away 17/18
That's encouraging, but makes me wonder how much the home Stanley fans figure was improved by the last couple of games. If you've got the figures in a spreadsheet already , could you tell us the averages over the first 20, 21 and 22 please?

Skewed by the last 4 home games.
1983 average x 23 games = 45'609 Minus last 4 home games (14'103) = 31'506 / 19 games = 1658 average Notts County 3039 Exeter 3135 Yeovil 3176 Lincoln 4753 https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/a...ey/attendances |
Re: Ave attendances home and away 17/18
Statistics and damned statistics eh?
Taking off the last 4 games suggests a BACKWARDS trend, but when mitigated against Blackburn and Burnley also having excellent seasons, I wouldnt be too worried. We also suffered from having no local crowds to speak of, Blackpool, Bradford etc. Not too depressing in that respect although I think we really have to be hitting 3000 this season |

Re: Ave attendances home and away 17/18
If you disregarded the four highest attendances in ANY season you would lower the average gate, so I reckon its still progress...... Have to compare like to like.

Re: Ave attendances home and away 17/18
Stanley's crowd figures are not comparable with other teams as they use a different methodology for calculating the attendance. Other clubs use tickets sold, won or given away, all ST holders - but Stanley 'count stubs'.
Some teams only half ST turn up but they publish them all as attended. |
