Re: Fishy site

The same happened yesterday when I tried using the link from the forum.
Even trying a direct link via google produced the same result.
Just tried again tonight & got the same result.
Methinks something fishy is afoot!

Sorry Wyn, even your link wont work for me.
Perhaps the club can clarify why the require a username & password to access their own website?

Re: Fishy site

Tried Firefox and Google Chrome and via Facebook but all asked for user name and password. Never met this before. Maybe something to do with the new network that's been installed?

Re: Fishy site

Rang the club, they didn't seem all that concerned really. They are aware of the issue and told me it was due to an overload of ticket enquiries coming in. Bit of a daft excuse if you ask me!

Re: Fishy site

Overload of ticket enquiries?? You can't even order them on-line

It seems to be all back to normal now though :)

Have you tried pressing Ctrl+F5? Works wonders sometimes when a website has been updated. Flushes out things in your cache from the old page.

Re: Fishy site

Hey Everyone,

I moved the site over to a new host because we were having performance issues.

After the migration everything seemed well and working from every test I could do. I was made aware of a few people unable to access the site, for the most part, clearing cookies on the cache and browser worked fine. For a few it didn't.

I don't want to go too technical, but propagation can take time and a few ISP's were especially stubborn in this particular move. It seems it's now all caught up. I apologise if it took a little longer for you.

Here's a little bit of further reading if anyone is still interested.

https://www.siteground.com/kb/what_i...takes_so_long/

If for any reason anyone is still having problems or if anyone has issues in the future , feel free to contact me and I'll happily try to fix. ([email protected], @leescarter on twitter). I don't come on AccyWeb very often so a PM might not be the best idea.

Lee
