I gave my badge to the supporters' club when they were raising money a year or two ago and they auctioned it off - it went abroad for £176.

Looks like ‘ ON STANLEy ON ‘ has struck a chord here !

I remember some years ago, with John Alty’s help , running a write a song for Stanley completion.
And although I can’t for the life of me remember what the winning song was, I think that it’s writer was the wife of Oswaldtwistle Immanuel’s Vicar !.

However, none of the entries could hold a candle to ‘ On Stanley On ! ‘.
It was, and I’m sure that Choirboy would agree, an excellent juxtaposition of words and music which makes it so easy on the ear .

ON STANLEY.. ON !..

I must confess to having never heard of 'On Stanley On' before - does anyone have any more info they'd be willing to share? Links to the song, stories, and the latest season you remember the club using it as run out music?

There is also a song called "Cart on Stanley" by a local band called Celtic Cross that used to be played a lot.
