Re: Coronovirus

It isn't agreed yet unfortunately because it is open to challenge including by legal means and yet again greed sets in.
Harry Kane for instance is adamant his contract expires 30 June which means he's already been tapped up to move on.
Football is in a mess generally.

So Harry Kane for example I know he,s injured but that is irrelevant doesn't care when or if the season finishes as far as Tottenham are concerned sums him up then.

When football finally returns a lot of these over paid individuals will find a very different football pryamid clubs now beginning to see very challenging times coming up and I can see unfortunately there being a lot of casualties.

Re: Coronavirus

So, do the F.A. - as pointed out earlier by Reamer - do actually that???????????

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52191973

Is it not the responsibility of somebody - the F.A. maybe?? - to look after football??????

Re: Coronavirus

When you look at the alarming state of a lot of clubs financial situations many at the top elechons of the pryamid I honestly can't see how they are going to distribute money when it is drying up fairly the outcome is going to be sad I,m afraid for a lot of badly and maybe some sound clubs, the game will be permanently changed.

[QUOTE=VALAIRIAN;1238938]Though, I think the casualties will be lower down.........

it will be. problem that has always annoys me is that some old established non league club say chorley who get similar attendances to stanley did a few seasons ago. they,d end up going bust with debts of say half a million whilst big premier league clubs are 50 plus million in debt growing season by season. this situation needs to at least slow down if it cannot be stopped.

Re: Coronovirus

The Scots will be bricking it.
Sanction this and UEFA threatening to ban them.
Could also have repercussions for the National side.

Every league is bricking it the championship have even discussed a 24 club joint administration then they can collectavably sack all their players making them all free agents that's how serious this is going to get.

If you have access to twitter there is an excellent view of the crisis by Andy Holt how Stanley may survive and how other clubs won't, he also thinks authorities should stop stalling make a decision finish season then you can financially plan for whatever lays ahead.

Re: Coronovirus

its still over 3 weeks till the season would have finished now. if the season did start on the first week of may{which for me it will not** then even playing 2 games a week without play offs would mean that the finish would be about the second week in july. just about doable. any date past may then the problem gets worse. a date must be set in stone for the season starting up again. if that date is passed then a decision has to be made to plan for the future. at the moment football seams to be living more in hope than expectation with a finger in the dyke approach.
