I'm pleased to see Tommy Leigh starting.

Why do people spell Archie Procter's name incorrectly?

Well done Tommy lad. Started the game really strong and deserved the goal.

Nolan playing really well cross,s good and his corner,s also one giving Nottingham the perfect headed goal.

Really enjoyed the game tonight, and not just for the result.
Thought the Leicester lads played well but they just didn’t have the cutting edge in the final third.
Game was played in a pretty fair spirit so even the ref had a good match.
Some very good performances from the younger players. Tommy Leigh in particular was outstanding, but Messrs Scully and Coyle were also very effective in midfield. Good to see Nolan get a proper run out and he provided a real attacking threat down the left.
Nice to see the goals well distributed but I’m sure poor ‘old’ Colby felt frustrated as just he couldn’t get on the score sheet despite all his efforts.
We’ll done to all the squad and backroom staff.

I think the benefits of having a under 23,s team in a league playing and training regularly are already beginning to show the lads all looked very sharp and hungry pushing themselves into Coleys thought,s on the first team, pity Charles isn't on the same page. Really enjoyable game to watch in a much maligned competition and for Stanley a realistic chance of a Wembley appearance.

Tommy Leigh for me too Cashy - must be pushing for a 1st team start?
For creativity, endeavour and sublime crossing accuracy he's the biz for me.
Good goal too - think HE's quickly realising he can cut it at this level.

Maybe it's just us getting more ancient by the day but do the kids in these U-21 teams just look younger or are they ACTUALLY younger? They all looked comfortable on the ball and were prepared to work really herd, but they need to be taking much more advantage of Leicestershire's preferred snack delicacy, the Melton Mowbray pork pie. Pitting some of them against Bishop, Nottingham and Sykes was a mismatch; I suspect Coley was beinng polite in not playing Mr Pell.

As others have said, it was an enjoyable diversion regardless of the result. Ruined only for me by a vicious bout of sciatica - it took Mrs Darrener 25 minutes to haul me out of the Wham.....Gawd bless 'er...

Liked him from first seeing him in pre-season friendlies, worked hard, & what a terrific throw-in he has, that should surely assist a few goals this season.
