I agree CASHY!…..(oops!)
I have seen all their cup matches too and they have applied a super team ethic in every round. They fully deserve their place in this round. COME ON THE STANLEY YOUF!:theband::jimbo: |

Live video's available on Charlton's site for £4!
No catch; just signed up. |
Re: Looking forward to tomorrow night.
Lost 2-1. Charlton were a good side and overall deserved the victory.
The Stanley youngsters have had a great run in the competition though. WELL DONE THE STANLEY YOUF! |
Re: Looking forward to tomorrow night.
that dont take away from fact ref was USELESS could see nothing wrong with our equaliser? also we had a player clean througn brought down there man should have been off but he NEVER even gave a foul.Charlton were streets above our lads but so they should be.

Re: Looking forward to tomorrow night.
so so proud of the lads last night, they more than matched a physical, quick, high pressing Charlton side.
Emerich Poilly in midfield is definitely one to keep an eye on for the future, wouldn't be surprised if he was offered pro terms with possibly a few others. Pickles the CB who had the goal disallowed also looked a real prospect. Charlton had scored 33 goals in their last 6 games before facing us. The future is most certainly bright. |
Re: Looking forward to tomorrow night.
how can our goal be offside? one of there defenders was stood on the goaline.

Re: Looking forward to tomorrow night.
The disallowed goal should have stood IMHO. A Charlton defender was trying to ‘shepherd’ a bouncing ball over the goal line for a goal kick. The Stanley forward ran round him from an onside position and then, from a position on the goal line beyond the post, he headed the ball backwards at a slight angle into the goal mouth and the ball was put over the goal line. The Stanley scorer could not be offside as the ball came backwards to him! The goal should have been allowed to stand.
I agree that Charlton were a good side and could have scored a couple more goals but for some great goal keeping by the young lad called Hood. Definitely a prospect for the future. However, in the 83rd minute Hood drove the ball forward a bit like Savin did last Saturday. Our sub, number 17, broke through and was clearly tripped from behind by the last Charlton defender. IMHO, a 100% Red Card but the referee didn’t even give a foul! Well done though by our young squad. Emerich Poilly was our best player again! ON STANLEY ON. |
Re: Looking forward to tomorrow night.
Apparently our under 18's are playing Oldham tomorrow morning at the Stanley Sports Hub, kick off 11 o'clock & supporters are welcome. Details & their upcoming fixtures are on the fishy site now
