And we’re expecting what from refs…?

Commentator said there was no need for it to be a red & had mentioned earlier that the ref was in the centre of things far more than he need be

So, apparently Josh Andrews was taken ill last night & ended up in hospital this morning with some sort of infection - hope it's nothing too serious

That is bad news

Having just watched the “highlights” (sic), we certainly gifted their first goal.
Poor defending with the central defenders being drawn towards the attacking player, like flies to a web, and leaving their No.9 totally unmarked.
Can’t expect anything else from most League 2 refs than that red card. But both Gubbins and Pickles did really well in the recent absence of both Hills and JRB, so good luck to them.

Agree about the first goal, far too easy.

Second should have been saved.

Penalty is just a clumsy foul/coming together and a penalty at most should have been the outcome...

1. Agree, particular shame it came from a Stanley corner where we tried to be clever while well on top ....

2. Think it would have been a very very good save to keep that one out (imho, from the seats in the corner rather than behind the goal).

3. Presumably red card as last man?

First sighting this season, and for 7 minutes thought I'd be in for a treat. But after the equaliser it was a very even game with both sides giving the ball away far too much. Thought we won a lot of 40-60 balls :) but usually then gave it straight back . Ref was a bit of a homer  but couldn't argue with pen, or our goal being disallowed for offside.

We've appealed Brad's red card - fingers crossed we're successful

Unfortunately Brad's red card has been upheld & he's suspended for one game - not sure if that'll be tomorrow's replay or next league game

Guessing it is tomorrow, as they have been pretty sharpish with the appeal...???

I would rather he played in the League :)

Yes. I think red cards apply to all games whilst yellow cards are competition specific. I've just checked on the EFL suspensions page which says the suspension ends after tonight's match.

Didn't Tommy play in the first Doncaster match before his suspension then kicked in for the Crawley EFL game?
