Superb first half from Whalley!

Two goals at the break-BUT it should've been 4 at least. Bet 365 is providing live coverage but on a severly reduced screen size. Still its great to see Stanley looking good, tho I held my breath early in the first half a few times.

I reckon my man Hunter wouldve pounced on both those chances.

Roughly translated from the New Zealand language....this phrase means..."Our wait for a win goes on!"

Jings, it doesn’t get an easier supporting Stanley. Another gut wrenching result, despite the much improved performance from last week.
But Harrogate (93’), Colchester (85’), Crewe (85’), and now Port Vale (90’ & 95’) is becoming a habit. Seven points lost in the last five/ten minutes.
Again, tired legs left on the pitch, imho.

The lads thoroughly deserved to win this afternoon with a much improved performance but unfortunately Vale's experience showed in those last minutes & robbed us of two points - a sickening ending for us all but if we carry on playing like that I think we'll be ok.
Still some tweaking to be done but we're getting on the right track

Yes Exile we could all see at least 4 or 5 players out on their feet in the last 10 minutes of the 90. Seamus was almost "doubled over" two or three times trying to catch his breath....ALL the SUBS SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED BY 80 MINUTES.......Not sure why the Manager didn't use them...He says he knows the players so MUST know which will tire and therefore who will replace them..if there isn't such a plan in place then HE is responsible for the lost points?

Definite fitness issues, and if you can't run just bollock the keeper then play everyone onside.

Not what Exile and I were referring to Chewy.....Manager has the option to use Subs in a timely manner when necessary. Fresh legs don't always work but can help if they are brought on with clear instructions about their role within the team.

Much, much better performance yesterday, which deserved a win :)

Batty and Love were my stand outs, but as my good friend choirboy said to me when asked "every Stanley player were M.O.M.!" :)

We will win games playing far worse than that this season, without any doubt :)

I would love Stockley in my team, true fighter and winner, never gives up, exemplified by the way he grabbed the ball and ran back to the spot after he had scored!!!!

Walton on the left with Batty, will be as strong as Shaun and Connor and cause teams problems :)

Does it feel like a loss? Yes it does, but these things happen and at least we got another vital point :)

:)

Re: Port Vale (home)

First full game I was able to catch this year. Seen glimpses and thought this was a slight improvement.

I liked what I saw of Batty. Not the most skilful player, but well suited to playing in a five-man back line.

But our central midfielders are not particularly suited for this line-up. With two wide men, the central guys will have to do a lot of running AND show some creative skill. You can’t expect Seamus to do a lot of running at his age, so the other guy Khumbeni will have to it for him. Seamus knows where to stand on the field, but must find a guy in a red shirt occasionally. Neither of them were very good Yesterday I thought.

And losing a two goal lead in injury time after refusing to use the substitutes does not reflect well on the manager's coaching imho. Sad also because I thought the back line did quite well until everybody tired at the end.
