2024/25 Prediction League Game 26 v Notts County (home)
 

Following on last week’s respectable showing at Anfield, a couple of departures from the squad (one to the Gills!) and a second new striker called Charlie (Chester), we’re at home to Notts Co this afternoon. They’re one of three sides on 40 points (the next three above them are on 41, 42 and 43, with Walsall - who’ve won 17 games (five more than anyone else) - on 55)

But today is overshadowed by the news of the loss of The King - Denis Law. I was a regular at Old Trafford back in the day, and it’s so sad that the third of the three (Law, Best and Charlton) has now passed away, leaving us with just our memories …… for my part, I can’t think of a finer forward line than them

I too took my red and white scarf to Old Trafford after the Lancs Comb side folded. “Denis Law will glisten in the sun”! 3-1 Stanley.

Home to Notts. County saw 12 players, 7 home, 3 not sure and 2 winners :(

Even first 30 minutes, then County (and McGoldrick) stepped up.........

A 3-0 defeat saw our 100% start to 2025 end with a bang!!

A tough away trip to Crewe next... a win needed there :o
