It's CUP FINAL Day

OK the nothern section of the GLS cup.. But still ... the level of interest seems poor?

Well Sparkie and I will be there and we are bringing Diane and the kids, so thats another 5 at least!!

As for the score , I reckon a narrow victory for us 2-1.............have you seen the injury list?!!!!;)

As soon as it went to pennies i knew we would lose, we cant even beat Great Harwood on pens :(

He didn't miss, it was saved! Nothing personal against you cafu, but no matter who the player is who takes a penalty and someone says they missed when it was saved it really bugs me. 1 - cos it misleads people into thinking it was skied or off target & 2 - it takes something away from a keeper who has judged correctly to make the save!

Well i am very sorry Harwood Red but I, and nearly everyone i talk to say that if the player who takes a penalty doesnt score then he has missed it.
You either miss or you score, if the ball doesnt go in the goal from a penalty then the player has missed it, wether the keeper has saved it or not.

On teletext and in newspapers it says, e.g. Owen MISSED pen, it doesnt say Owen pen SAVED..........
Therefore if your annoyed at me for saying he missed the penalty (which he did because it didnt go in the goal) then surely you must be annoyed with nearly everyone who follows football, including press, managers, players etc because the vast majority of them say missed penalty wether its saved or not. :)

Hey did you miss the "nothing personal against you cafu" bit? Yes your bloody well right It miffs me off no matter where it states "missed" penalty, press, manager, fans, players etc..... If JK had saved one of those penalties last night I'm sure yourself along with many others would have commented on it being a great saved penalty not about how their player had missed it. The fact it bugs me is a personal view which I just happened to have shared on here, NOT that I'm right and everyone else is wrong :mad:
