What did he do? Did he put in a decent cross? Nope. Did he put in a challenge when tracking back? Nope. Did he seem to put in any effort to track back? Not really.

Time and again the play broke down when he got the ball. Compare him to Todd. They're light years apart.

I'd like to ask the question, what's the point of Doherty?

can you believe that this time last year Andy Todd was warming the bench for lower mid table conference outfit?

Well actually, he did track back on occasions, but merely standing in front of an attacker without putting a foot in just won't do. It was terrible to watch as is his inabilty to beat a man. Just too light weight for me - surely we have better options?
Ironically, his only meaningfull contribution yesterday was a great ball in to Mullen about 10 seconds before he was substituted. As you say, what a contrast to Andy Todd who blasts past challenges through sheer determination plus a lot of skill - a hell of a player.

Maybe Nigel deserves some credit for his motivational skills .

Toddy was great, again, and not just going forward.

Re: Edwards

I think people are being more than a little harsh on Doherty, remembr his injuries through the years. Put yourself in his shoes, if every challenge you put in seemed to end up injuring you, would you always fly in?

Coley must see something in training. He's still young yet, give him a chance and get off his back.

Fulham payed shedloads for him, there must be some ability there.

Re: Edwards

who knows? doherty may come good, hes still only played about five games, you have got to give him a chance first to then if he doesnt pick up we can judge. gary for me is accys most overated player, i my humble opinion, he is wasteful with posession, thinks he is on a nike advert, and has never made a tackle. todd = legend. 200% every game

Re: Edwards

"even though hes our top scorer"

even a broken watch is right twice a day, it doesnt mean a thing, hes still overated.
