Re: THE GAY COMMUNITY YOUR VIEWS
The thing that annoys me is that "in your face flamboyancy" of a large number of straight people in Accy. A night out in town means getting the nicest clothes on you can, make yourself beautiful and hope to pull by the end of the night (men and women alike). You can't just have a good night out to have a laugh, you get goggled at by men at every corner, touched and rubbed against in the bars and chatted up by drunken "potential Mr. Rights" at every possible chance. Everything to do with a night out comes down to sex.

Re: THE GAY COMMUNITY YOUR VIEWS
I was once asked if I was Gay or straight. That is just the reply I gave.
" I'm a person. " and turned away.

Re: THE GAY COMMUNITY YOUR VIEWS
When I was a kid who used to play around the fields of Accrington, I don't think people broadcast that they were gay,it was really taboo. But there were certain older males who used to hang around the kids who people said were gay and you should keep away from! But things have changed now and it's cool and "politically correct" to talk about being gay openly. So I guess it's a case of "live and let Gay!"...but I ain't...if I may say...but there were some dodgy males who used to hang around in the 70's.

So you presume because a guys gay, that he automatically wants to jump your bones then? Must do or you wouldn't say something like that.
Never worry that a woman might want to feel you up? Or would that not matter?
Presume you don't get on well enough with him to be a friend else you wouldn't say things like that!

Re: THE GAY COMMUNITY YOUR VIEWS
Friends are for private life Cazzer.Something i keep totally seperated.I have a working life and a private one.I never ever mix the two.At work i do not talk about home and vice versa.
And if a woman wanted a feel up as you say it would worry me.The simple thing is i am happily married for the last 13 years.Over here i spent 8 years with no female company and i realise what i have got now is good.I made vows when i got wed and they are important to me.They are a promise i will keep until i die.Because that is the way ia m.

Homosexuality is a fact of life.
Only thing worth discussing is the fact that some ignorant people don't know it's not a crime as long as yu're over the age of consent, the same as hetrosexuality.[/quote]
Thing being there is such a thing as natures laws too. They however are not written down so it must all be legal eh!Imagine if nature had made is so we could get ourselves pregnant eh!Self impregnating and the Government said that was illegal.Would people still do it?Of course they would.Try not to tellme that you never had a drink of Alcohol before you were 18.Lets stop hiding behind this legality crap and say your real views on things eh! Re: THE GAY COMMUNITY YOUR VIEWS
Their are many flambouyant straight people. The only gay people I have dealt with have always been very confident and sure of their sexuality and don't have a need to push it on anyone else. The only people who do that I'm afraid are the straight ones. Male or female gay or straight let people live their own lives in the way they choose to do so threr are too many people with opinions that they can't keep to themselves. Personally I would not be afraid or ashamed of gong out for a drink with a gay person for when they know they are with non gay people they are very nice people to be with.

Re: THE GAY COMMUNITY YOUR VIEWS
wow some very good comments and in a nice way which makes a change on here these days . Well done you lot. I am with you on this, gay people are what they are (and usually very funny and good people at that). To be quite honest I would rather go out round town with a bunch of gay men than straight, at least you know that they are talking to you because they want to and, not just expecting to get in ya pants at the end of the night if thy talk to you for 20 minutes .

Re: THE GAY COMMUNITY YOUR VIEWS
You can't really categorise peoeple in lumps anyway. Everyone should be taken for who they are as an individual and their sexual preferences are only a part of that.
I have one friend who is gay who I think very highly of and probably always will. On the other hand I know another gay man who is a bit of a pain in the neck simply because he goes on and on about being gay and begins to get on your nerves with it. (A bit like "I'm the only gay in the village")
