Re: The GP Patient Survey
I think surveys about such servicess are important. Improvements cant be made if you dont speak up about them, and what better oppurtunity than a survey directly aimed at your opinion so they can see what is a widespread problem.
If the government see that people cant even be bothered answering simple surveys regarding our own health service, why should they ask our opinion about anything else.

It took me less than 5 minutes to do online. You must have an action packed life if you can't spare that amount of time.

You can make enquiries at any GP surgery to see if they are taking on new patients, they will be able to tell you more about how to change.

Re: The GP Patient Survey
Just done my survey. It was quick to do and really will the questions/answers prove anything ? Seem to vague and pointless to me. I know its about appointments more than anything, but why not include some other bits :
1/ When ringing you doctor does the receptionist
a/ Ask why you should need to see a doctor unless you are nearly dead
b/ Inform that only emergencies are being seen today and will your chest pains wait until tomorrow ?
c/ Make you feel guilty for DARING to ring the doctor.
d/ All of the above
e/ None of the above because its the "nice" one on today
2/ When visiting the doctors for your appointment do you:
a/ Arrive early and still have to wait 1/2 past your appointment time ?
b/ Make uncomfortable eye contact around the room as you realise no-one waiting in there looks sick, apart from the one guy with chronic bronchitis
c/ Suddenly feel better
d/ Decide its going to be bad news and that the small mole on your back that your partner saw is actually a precursor to pulmonary embolism, Ebola Virus and as yet undiscovered diseases.
e/ And then when you find out its not promise to mend your ways and improve your lifestyle, whilst smoking a fag and having a fish and chip dinner to celebrate ?
See, far more pertinant information

It's at times like this that I really resent my taxation money being wasted on the education of other people's children.
