Heehee. It was greenish and it was in Bedfordshire nowhere near Sellafield. I took the photo on the morning we were leaving and she hadn't had bad dreams. We'd all had a lousy night because the beds were awful but that was nothing to do with the glow. I took the photos as "evidence" of what a dump it was!

btw you aren't the first to get my gender wrong. I've had a few people calling me "Will mate"

I'll have a hunt for the pic and post it if I can find it. I seem to think I might have posted it way back when I first took it though.

Bad enough? You couldn't have got worse! We had a laugh about it afterwards. We didn't book it via a travel agent or anything we just got the phone number from someone who got it from the phone book.

When we told local people where we'd stayed they told us various stories including the fact that someone had been murdered there not long ago, that drug addicts notoriously lurked and that it was used as a DHSS B&B - one dear friend of Busman's also asked us if the lightbulbs were red!

Here's the photo. It's none too brilliant but there was no glow visible to the human eye when I took it. I was actually taking the photos just to show people how grim the place was.
