Re: Ossy Gobbin from above the lamp
Hi, was myself born above the lamp. 16 Fielding Lane. Many years ago. Very happy memories of Pothouse Lane and Charlie Parrs farm and ...still can't spell this, Cockolum brook. We moved away 'cause the cottage could not house five kids. Worse move we ever
made. Would love to be back there, but as the saying goes... you can never go back.

I'm never sure if it's one word, or two.
There are two photographs of Cocker Lumb here.

In the seventies my dad used to take us on walks up there. There was a cave, that he used to play in as a child in the fifties.
Anyone else remember that?
As you walked up the valley it was to the righthand side of the brook.

Re: Ossy Gobbin from above the lamp
Hiya,
I know this is a years old thread but it cropped up in a search because Reasons and maybe it's still of some interest to someone.
Charlie Parr was my... Uncle? Great Uncle maybe. He was the husband of my grandmother's sister I think.
The Parrs' farm as far as I know backed on to Fern Gore farm which was my childhood home.

Re: Ossy Gobbin from above the lamp
Thank you.
I've been here for some time, though infrequently. I created an account when someone was asking after my dad, as I recall, and he passed away like ten years ago now.
