LPG converter needed
Nicole passed her test on 22 July
She bought a 2004 "54" A2 1.4 back in May ready when she passed her DT with her birthday money
She wants it converted into LPG
Does anyone know of any reliable LPG converters in the Hyndburn area?

Re: LPG converter needed
Whats the point on something that is already known to be a very economical car? the payback unless you do stupid mileage like me will be too long. A2 1.4's do ~ 50mpg, working on 1.5K for a decent conversion and price of 1.32 for petrol and 67 for LPG with a drop of 15% on efficiency the payback would be in the region of 28K miles. That doesn't take into account any extra cost of borrowing the 1500 quid if you dont have the cash up front which if you have a 2 year old you probably don't as they are expensive things. It would be only to break even so to actually be in credit to any real degree you would need to be covering 40-50K in that car which most people never do.
LPG is ace for people like me who cover 30K pa but for joe blogs who covers the usual 10-12 its not an option unless its a really thirsty beast.

Re: LPG converter needed
You saved me a lot of typing entwisi, you wrote more or less what I intended to say.
A mate of mine had a Rangy converted but changed his job and started to do a lot more local work, he found he was running on petrol more often and the saving plummeted.

Had a 1.8 306 estate converted to LPG in around 2009
Worked in a Blockbuster in Manchester area, so it was very economical
