It was near Lee Steet at the bottom of Plantation St. Pulled down many moons ago.

Most definitely Elephant street, Welcome Inn, and more than likely a wolsey. this section is a good Idea Bert! My first time on the forum, but I'll be back to check this out

Good response everyone, and thanks to Owd Bert for this excellent section.
As many of you pointed out the street was indeed Elephant Street, between Plantation St and Birtwistle St. The pub was "The Welcome" and it was, as a few pointed out, a Lion Brewery pub. The car was a Wolseley 16/60 c1958 Model.
