Any other time Mrs Pilkington you would have been able to count on me for a vote, alas on this occasion I have had to vote to a subject closer to heart. The impact of Staggers pic, the subject matter and the technical elements of the shot made it 1st choice, regrettable I have to confess that Col.Kurtz’s composition also grabbed a heart string.
I crave your forgiveness Madam.
Forever in fear of your Pussy

Oh dear Doug.......what can I say...except of course you are forgiven.
You do know that I risked life and limb to get that shot though...personally i thought it was a daring effort...but then I would say that wouldn't I....?

Re: Poll for the prize competition
I want to see a photograph of you strapped into one of those Mrs Pilkington then I’ll believe you risked life and limb. If you go up in one, Mrs P I’ll come with you for charity and KSH can come along to record the aerial shots….

Re: Poll for the prize competition
Oh, i risked life and limb alright...but not in one of those things......I was perched on the cliff edge at beachy head with my Sister-in-law having purple fits in case I fell off the edge......somehow, you are drawn to the edge.
And I would go up in one of those if you came along to hold my hand!

I’ll do it if you do. I use to fly a lot in my teens so I’m not too concerned about altitude but I would be squinting it all the same. No Parachute.
Why don’t we get a dozen of us together and form the Accrington Web Extreme Suicide Club. We get to have fun, fear and the crap frighten out of us, accy webbers get to pee themselves laughing at our exploits.

Re: Poll for the prize competition
Was that Squinting...or Squitting it....? You are right they would say (well, of me anyway) 'look at those daft bl**dy pensioners with a death wish'
I'm not scared of heights...well, i might be if i got up in one of those contraptions - they are terribly flimsy, and I'm built a bit solid around the midships!

I chose this too Col. .. not because of the technical ability of the photographer, but just made me want to hop on board and be taken on a train journey to the top of the country .. loveleee. Liked Margaret's Pic. but probably break me leg on the landing.
Who is that guy in your Avatar Col. ? scares the **** outta me .. wouldn't like to meet him on a dark night
