Re: 'All Eyes on Ossie' DVD.

It belonged to a friend of a friend of my brother's, but I will try and find out where they aquired it.

Sadly we had to give it back, after letting the son of Tom Proctor, and an Ossy butcher watch it.

I can't help with the DVD but I'm puzzled over Winnie Hogan's sister "Benita". Before I went to Paddock House, in 1954, I was in the same class at St Mary's as Winnie's sister - and her name was Kathleen. I think there was a brother (Danny?) but I didn't know of another sister. Was she much younger?

I don't think that Winnie Hogan and Benita were related - Benita and I were at UMIST in Manchester together for a year, studying for our library qualifications, and her maiden name was Houston, then Moore after she married.

I think you're right, and I was wrong.

They were just friends through the Civic Society.

Benita does have a sister, but it wasn't Winnie Hogan.

No I've seen it.

Plus my expenses limit doesn't run to popcorn.

They have a copy in Rhyddings School Library. My Dad is a teacher there and he borrowed a copy. I didnt see it though. He did ring me to tell me that my Grandma is in it.

I'll have to ask him to borrow it again.

Is that the Grandma who used to look after us at Moor End?

Kathleen was winnies sister she still lives in Ossy, Danny lives in Rishton, and there was another brother called Jim, who lives on the cast somewhere, maybe St. Ann's, he was a fireman and an ex-Labour councillor in Ossy, there wasn't another sister, The only Benita I know was Benita Moor, who lived in Rising Bridge until she died a few years ago

Re: 'All Eyes on Ossie' DVD.

I knew of Benita Houston who later became Moore.
I also know of Jim Hogan who was self employed as a builder/plumber who lived in a gable end house on a corner adjoining Catlow Hall St

I'd love to see it again. I did watch it when they put it on at the area council meeting but I didn't think it showed our house - it gives a tantalising glimpse down Mill Hill and then cuts to the entrance of Foxhill Nature Reserve - to be able to have filmed that bit they must have been stood in our garden.

I'd love to see it again. So, yes, if someone can get a copy it would be good fun.
