Celebrations Card Shop

Driving down Union Road today I spotted a sign in the window of Celebrations card shop saying 'Closing Down Sale'.

I love that shop and get all my cards from there. I will really miss it. The cards they sell are lovely and different to the ones elsewhere and the owner is such a lovely chap to deal with. I will really miss it.

Does anyone know why it is closing? Is it the usual 'you can get it cheaper at the supermarket' situation?

I suppose there'll be a few more small shops closing if/when Tesco come in. What a shame.

He's retiring. They've been in there for seventeen years.

They'll be missed. Always good service, and a great selection of cards.

Thanks for the info, Garinda. You're right, he will be missed.

There's also a good selection of greetings cards at Ossy General Stores and Booze Busters.

Re: Celebrations Card Shop

There are quite a lot of card shops in Accy. In fact only the other day Mimi remarked on how many there were.

I think the thing with the one in Ossy Willow was that, not only did they have a good selection, but they were quite cheap as well.

I also think Celebrations is shutting down due to a family member being ill....
