Would have been well worth a newspaper story,if "All" ossy had burnt down.

Fire Brigade called out to rubbish blaze

Firemen were last night called out to a fire on a large rubbish tip south-west of Church and Accrington. The tip, called 'Oswaldtwistle' and spread over several hundred acres, has been an eyesore for years. After standing by and watching the flames for several hours, the firemen intervened by hosing the site with petrol and then retiring down the pub.
A spokesman for the brigade said "t'lads enjoyed it".

Ya and when the clean up started all the refuse was deposited on the tip, better known as Church
