In need of a Twiggy style dress...
... for someone who doesn't have a Twiggy-ish figure!
I'm playing a part in the next Oswaldwistle Players play and I have to find a late 60's style dress. I'm playing the glamorous bit of stuff, which is a bit of a challenge and a new direction for me, but i'm giving it a go. So, does anyone have any old dresses in their loft that might be suitable?

Re: In need of a Twiggy style dress...
I hope someone comes up trumps for you, but if you are stuck, shift dresses, the type Twiggy wore in the sixties, are very easy to run up, for anyone with basic sewing skills. It doesn't even need to have sleeves, Just chose a bold fabric.
I'd happily design one for you myself, but these days my seams aren't up to much.
By the way, please post when tickets are going on sale, as I can't wait to see the play.

Re: In need of a Twiggy style dress...
I'm afraid my sewing skills don't even run to fixing buttons so making one is out of the question as well.

Re: In need of a Twiggy style dress...
Perhaps too obvious, but the classic two-tone Mary Quant dress, shouts sixties glam, and again would be easy to make a copy of.
Good luck.

I think your definition of 'easy' is probably far beyond my skill set!

I did not realise you are a cross dresser. Maybe that's why I have never noticed you out and about.
